On the real, I think one of the biggest things that added to the "Paranoia" in "Paranoia Machine" is from history class.

When you really start to dig into anything you realize that it is a miracle we are even still here.
Even the basics teach you that the laws we live by are more of an unspoken agreement between civilians that aggressions will be punished by a larger authority. Problem with having such an agreement is that it's left up to whomever came before to teach it and the person that comes after not to question it.
And this assumes they both understand the God damn concept enough to teach and learn it correctly.

The worst thing to plague our people more than anything is our belief that our fellow man has ours or even his own best interests in mind and that he's not a fucking retard.

I am all behind a Supreme Intelligence that can fix it all.
We are all of the things wrong with us. For fuck sake our government operates by way of election. A method that has proven time and time again that it brings out some of the most narcissistic fucks the world has seen.

Seems equally likely he's shot his load. Attacking service providers was probably his best idea, and now that it's failed to take down the site, he's got nothing.

Yeah he's basically just going through the motions here. The whole #dropkiwifarms thing has more or less petered out. Occasionally you're going to have somebody try to take the Orchards down but Elliot and the rest of the troon tech brigade have quietly moved onto other things to be outraged over.

The lunacy here is that the rules forbid it, people call it out, and some Wikipedia Janny unilaterally overrides the rules. Elliot No Dong Fong Jones just isn’t special. Well okay Special in a bad way, but not notable enough to have an entire biographical entry on himself.

"Because they were approved as a source on some impossible to find Wikipedia page."

Remember on Wikipedia:
A random blog or website any moron can publish on no matter what they used as a source? YES!
Wikipedia itself, a government database or anything that can be called a "primary" source by some janny? NEVER! (Unless nobody cares about the page.)

In my experience, it comes down to knowing, paying off enough Wikipedia admin's to keep someone from speedy deleting your article. Being ideologically aligned can also work, then, like GorillaWarfare, they'll do it for free.

Being in the news can also work, but it requires being able to pay off enough journalist scum to get the citogenesis cycle started; basically pay for PR, use PR to get Wikipedia page, use Wikipedia page to push "facts" into the rest of the media.

Wikipedia is so ideologically captured that at this point being a loser with a Wikipedia page of nothing but positive PR is a red-flag to many people.

edit: Thought I had right after I hit post, Wikipedia is given undue weight in Google search ranking... so I'd think this a favor between ideological allies to bury all talk of Liz Fong-Jones and their history of consent accidents.
