Careercow Brandon "Bam" Margera - From Jackass to Lolcow

Looks like he’s okay?

I won’t believe it unless there are photos floating around of him at bars piss drunk, and knee deep in meth loving strippers, before Christmas.

Also the weirdly and carefully worded statement is suss.

Being up close to this for many years. I've become numb to their cries for help, when they're given several dozen chances to change yet never deviate from their path. Bam is this to a T. There comes a point as a family member you just cut the anchor and let them deal with it alone.
Gave you a winner rating because they really, really never do change. Bam has all the resources in the world to turn things around, including having Steve-O as a personal friend and someone who I'm sure would be thrilled to help him recover, considering Steve-O was pretty damn hardcore at his lowest points, but pulled through. If Steve-O can't help him, nobody can.

It's case sensitive when it comes to addiction. Some can stay straight after a few times, where people like Bam just never can overcome it and I doubt he ever will. And a lot of ways, in my experience you almost enable them by constantly bailing them out. They always know if they sell all their possessions to go buy a few cases of booze, they know they have you as a safety net.

I can't help of thinking of the analogy of throwing a child in deep water and let themselves figure out how to swim.

I'm not saying just cut off a relative or friend that is a fuck up like this. But there comes a point that you just need to cut your losses.

That photo of Steve-O passed out in his own vomit surrounded by spent whippets and empty liquor bottles is one of the most big wook energy pictures I've ever seen.

Dunn was a scumbag and so is Bam. They deserve each other in hell.
Dunn died drunk driving his sports car at an insane rate of speed, while rich enough to hire a private on-call chauffeur and barely notice the price tag. Total scumbag. And Bam’s “obsession” with memorializing him always reeked of finally having the slightest semblance of a reason to act like half the useless fuck up that he was. Until Dunn died, he hadn’t experienced a negative thing in his life. It was just parents taking him from skate event to skate event, until he became simultaneously the youngest Jackass cast member AND the most successful*.

He was well on his way to becoming a burnt- out washed-up POS, Dunn just finally gave him something to mope about

(*Measuring success from where they started before Jackass to after. Knoxville may have been bigger than Bam afterwards, but he also had a much more solid start)
Just a little update eThot Lawyer BJ gave us a video for "ya'll" and Bam's brother in law posted a message cryptically saying the ventilator story is bullshit.
BJ's video shows this photo with Bam and his brother in law so they seem to be close... a little too close.

Bam has always been a closet fag.

Testing negative for COVID doesn’t mean much if you’re still on a ventilator. If he was actually being discharged anytime soon, he would have written that himself, not his family who regularly took control of his social media in the past when he was too fucked up.

Dunn rolled his car before that too, and I think Bam has as well. Dunn cooked alive in the car with the passenger he had. The family ended up suing Dunn's estate although I never looked into in years so I don't know how it played out. But I imagine it settled out of court so you wouldn't be able to see anything specific on the case docket.

Truer words, my fren. I’ve tried to help a family member, then had to cut them off only to get death threats. In the end, you have to do what you need to do for your own safety and well being.

Sorry, back on topic. I give it 50/50 for Bam at this point (based on the info we have). It’s not looking good. The damage he’s done to his body over the years doesn’t exactly scream survival. On the other hand, many addicts/alcoholics have faced near death and survived. I guess we’ll see in the coming days.

Yeah I guess I can't fault them for what they've done publicly toward him and I would do the same thing to try to put a nice face on it. They don't need to condemn the bad guy when he's plenty capable to continue to make himself look like the asshole of that relationship.

He turned away probably a million or whatever he could get from Jackass 4 to continue to live in the bottle.

Did any of you watch his game show? It just came off as a pity project to give him work.
I forgot which interview one of the former jackass crew did with someone, that said that it was a show that looked like bam was " rushing to finish so he could go back to drinking." It was as mediocre as it gets outside of how bad the production values were.

Also funny to mention booze and jackass, when they were filming 2, steve o was on his honest attempt at sobriety, and Bam brought booze on the set anyway even though they all got told to refrain to help steve o.

Yeah TMZ isn't Gawker or a shit rag and I might be wrong but I don't think they put shit out unless it's ironclad. I don't recall instances where they fucked up I don't follow celeb news so.

But yeah I feel the same. The guy deserves his own misery, but it's really shitty to see this might be the end. Anyone who was a kid when the Jackass show was on and when the movie first came out knows what a cultural monster that was at the time. I still vaguely remember going to see the first one as a kid. It's weird seeing someone I kinda grew up with and isn't that much older than me go down such a very dark path when he's got the world by the balls financially and that isn't enough. Look at everyone that's apart of pedowood and how many have some type of self destructive addiction. Money really doesn't get you everything. It depends on the type of person you were before you got it.
110%. I realized this after highschool when i got some type of benefits from my dad. I went from doing things on a small level to just a bigger level but no different than what it was before, just the same but bigger.

That seems optimistic since 'ventilator' is almost always life support. This is the kind of kind of thing they put Anne Heche and Carrie Fisher for awhile, they were already brain dead from the start.

ETA not that it really matters if he wakes up fine either. He'll just go back to drinking 24/7 until he dies shortly.

This really explains all you need to know about Bam from one of his closest ( not nesseciarly best ) friends that can set the record straight on alot regarding who bam is and what he does to deserve his treatment. There are some unmentioned events in this podcast that I have not found anywhere else. it talks about why Bam suddenly fell off as opposed to fade into obscurity ( from a celebrity standpoint not skater ).

Archive or summarise these unmentioned events.

If he gets off the ventilator, it's (another) chance for him to get serious about getting clean. At least being confined to a ventilator, his body will burn through some of the worst initial days of physical addiction. With some media exposure on him this time, he could have some career prospects later.

All that said though, look at all the other lolcows and the chances they get and squander. Jack Scalfani is still pouring in calories, sodium, and sugar after several strokes and losing his dominant arm function.

Bam definitely fell off in skateboarding too, don’t get me wrong he hasn’t made a film or tv show in at least a decade and is now probably blacklisted for the jackass debacle but after his pretend skateboarding comeback years back he slowly alienated every established pro that he came up with.

EXAMPLE#1: Former rider for Adio alongside Bam, he’s now an artist who has done art at Bam’s castle ramps:
(Video is synced to exact time he discusses his recent-ish bender that resulted in him fighting someone in a front yard)

Ill give this a watch when I can, thanks.

I'm wedging my opinion that the nine club guys are among the most blue pilled persons in podcasting in here and then leaving.
