A large portion of trade degrees actually have good returns on investment and teach hard skills: welding, electrician work, pipefitting, HVAC etc. What she got is not a trade degree, it is a step above gender studies in graduate earning potential. If her goal was to do PR for the keel-over stream, a sissyphean task, she's dumber than a box of rocks. Then again, her loan creditors will probably not bother chasing her down in mexico, so I guess thats a win...

A degree in equine studies would've probably been more useful tbh. That pig/horse baby will need a ton of help throughout its lifecycle.
