Fucking hell that is full retard, more than anything else I've heard so far.
I've worked at startups who had that kind of attitude for the first few months (gotta move fast and break shit, after all), but they clamped down on it once more than a few people were working on the codebase, because pushing untested code to live on such a huge system is fucking retarded.

Tumblr was the same, IIRC. They're all run by absolute idiots. There are some crazy stories out of these wokebro web properties.

I'm honestly surprised he hasn't fired every employee, instead of just most. He could stick a couple of Tesla programmers in a room for two weeks and they would make a better system.

I think there will be more firings as this goes on.

I imagine that his end game is to entirely move twitter to a different host keeping only the code and URL.

Ironically, Tesla is or was exactly the same. There’s a thread of insider chat somewhere with some gory details of their software practices and the back end system for the Model S, nothing directly safety critical as far as I remember, but supposedly an absolute shitshow always on the ragged edge of bricking half the fleet.
Like pretty much any startup, as you say, but poor management, ever shifting priorities and high churn of staff means nothing ever really gets fixed.

I hope someone sues because they bribed that employee fair and square.
Given how stupid a person would have to be to do that, as surely as I'm sitting here at least one celebrity is going to sue over this. Sadly, none of them will be prosecuted for bribery, although I can dream. :optimistic:

This person claims to have received data points regarding the censorship algo terms that Twitter was using to selectively censor conservatives. Idk enough about SQL to make much heads or tails of its legitimacy but the terms definitely point to an exclusively left wing bias.

God what a sperg. Fired some guys, then begged them to come back. The nag screen was gone, then it was back, now it's got a close button. Blue checks, then grey check, now "legacy blue checks". I swear he's like one week away from pulling a Kanye.

Anything that annoys twats is a bonus. He should change the color of the check marks on a daily basis or maybe even into the dancing banana guy gif or goatse.

Somehow no one took notice or summarized the whistleblowing doc describing work at pre musk twitter and it's hilarious:
https://s3.documentcloud.org/documents/22186683/twitter-whistleblower-disclosure.pdf
tweet threads talking about it:
start with: https://archive.md/CEuaa

Highlights:
Twitter employees installed spyware on their work computers for external orgs

Twitter does not have separate dev/testing/staging/production environments, all commits were made to live

51 percent of the company (5000 people) had access to privileged systems

One data center going down could cause all of twitter's data to be lost. Shortly after the whistleblower warned his higher ups about this, this almost happened:

Good thing twitter has backups right? Turns out they don't have any backups of employee computers. They had a system but it broke and they just never fixed it:

It was impossible to secure production and track who made what commits:

"dont worry we have employees taking home privileged info, this is good for us"

They didn't do any checks on employees who wanted access to privileged information:

unsurprisingly, there were foreign spies at twitter:

Remember when Parag Agrawal was appointed CEO and people were defending the fact that he has an engineering background?

Parag was literally a falling upwards Pajeet and these problems that were outlined above started during his time as CTO. During his time as CTO;

Parag was warned that there were thousands of failed logins daily to twitters engineering systems. He ignored it:

There's tons to read through but its hilarious.
This is so bad I refuse to believe it wasn't intentional. But why though?

He should raise the JQ and then start putting yellow stars on carefully chosen accounts, pink triangles on all the alphabet people, etc.

Twitter users found another sus tweet from Roth. I am honestly surprised he has not deleted his account or made it private yet.

Edit: Another one.

Disgusting pedo.
Yep, just found out about him, was wondering if there wasn't a thread on him or not. This guy is such a creep. The coy way he talks is the most unnerving part.

The twitter files are not about convincing the the libtards what occurred was wrong. They are about showing everyone else that they have no ethics or standards outside of pushing their narrative. Elon banning video of him getting booed as well as account that tracks his plane are to force them into saying it is wrong to further show their hypocrisy.
I'm not sure Musk is the one behind the banning of the Chappelle video.

In the past, Chappelle has required cell phones be put in Yondr cases that they weren't allowed to open until they left. If there's cell phone video of something from a show of his then it may be someone broke the rules and Chappelle could have people work on censoring any leaked videos on social media on that basis.

In 2017, Chappelle explained his reasoning for the phone-free policy to late night host Jimmy Kimmel.

"It became a thing where I’d walk on stage, I’d see a sea of cellphones," he said. "So I knew that anything in the room, I was saying to everybody — whether they were in the room or not — which is not an empowering feeling as a comedian."

Chappelle likened his policy to fight club rules, noting that he wants what he says at a show to stay between him and that specific audience. He added that comedians need an element of surprise, which can be difficult to achieve if audiences have already watched his previous stand-up sets.

Edit:
Going through the new twitter files drop and surprised people haven't noted how Twitter's staff were seething about 8chan and wanting to bring it up in relation to Trump. Did they genuinely think Trump was connected to Qanon or trying to appeal to those boomer schizos?

He hasn't produced enough milk for our entertainment.
And most of the tweets are old.
Unless there's some kind of event that is milky enough.

"Forced to leave home". Nobody is stopping him from standing his ground, like a man.
That moment when you realize the degenerates are no longer in control of the thing they were using to craft politics and shape public opinion. It really doesn't matter what any of them say now, because they can't monopolize what's being said when challenged.

Why was Twitter ever this important or significant?

Why was Twitter ever this important or significant?
It's a public forum with a billion people so what would have been some idiot shouting into the void is now some idiot backed up by millions of others. On top of that, there's no way to downvote outside of "ratioing" someone.

Secondly, it's perfect for an age where people don't read headlines any more. Many times I've seen people leaving comments which theorise about something related to the article, that's in the article itself. Now millions of people can get the current leftie talking points and "facts" in 140 characters.
