I've seriously yet to see Alex tweet about video games. I'm sure he's done it but I just can't remember off the top of my head any time since he introduced himself by being wrong about Section 230 where he's done it and what games they may have been about.

Say what you will about Ilhan Omar, she seems to be an actual gamer and tweeted her specs because people were asking after they found out. (She just knows it's still dorky for a young Muslim woman to proudly be a PC gamer.)

That said they've more or less advertised that they don't give access without a court order or warrant.

And they were obviously rooting through people's DMs on behalf of the government before Elon Musk took over. So those people could possibly sue too under some creative theory of liability involving them effectively acting as an arm of the government (an argument that almost never actually works).

Most of the laws protecting email privacy have been more or less eviscerated by CALEA anyway which seems to say the government gets everything, forever, with or without a warrant, just because.

This is a recurring theme with Alex, he thinks the law only works one way and only faggots like him get to use it. Twitter will have obviously always have had the ability to look at DMs if they had to, but he only conceives of Elon Musk being liable for doing it. And based off of him seeing some other idiot make a wild claim, him believing it and asking Google if it's illegal and posting the first law result he finds without reading it.

Kinda wild to see a lawyer, especially an "cyber law expert", continuously argue against the entire concept of prior restraint but I guess Harvard Law isn't sending their best onto Twitter.
