Not to distract from all the well-deserved dunking, but I was struck by this phrase at the beginning of his statement: "At the beginning of this month... several extremist groups targeted the LGBT community."

He means "protest." They protested. This New York Times article, which also quotes Alex, contains similar seething:



Two protests against drag events aimed at kids, and an "anti LGBTQ rally" in Fort Lauderdale that seems to have focused on school curriculums and gender medicine and was partially organized by Gays Against Groomers. But of course New York Times just calls it an "anti-LGBTQ rally" and sets the paragraph out in a way that tries to tie in protests with an actual shooting.

The Proud Boys are losers, but these people are allowed to protest, because we live in America. Alex is so disturbed by his fellow citizens' right to peacefully protest in entirely different parts of the country that he had a panic attack.

Notice also the way he talks about protesting "drag events" with no mention of the intended audience of those events which is why they are being protested. Why not mention that, Alex? I thought it was nothing to be ashamed of?
