You Know What Grinds My Gears? - Things that personally piss you off

I hate it when people pretend to give a shit and act all nice for a moment when the only thing they care about is what it is they want from me. That's some really manipulative, fucked up behavior that a lot of people seem to fall for or at least completely tolerate and knowingly reward, especially in workplace settings. I make a point of not capitulating to what someone wants from me if they do this shit, and usually tell them why. It's a huge part of why I can't stand flattery and brown nosing, and it's one of the many things I couldn't stand about interacting with noggs in school, because those parasitic beggars were the most shameless, obvious, threatening, creepy and lazy about it.

To any of you who get all indignant when someone, especially a chick, "can't take a compliment", this is often why; we're just not willing to play along until the other shoe drops. If we play along and don't give them what they want, we get treated like shit. Love it when those assholes waste my time and then act like I wasted their time at the end of the interaction. If we don't play along, we still get treated like shit, but at least we got to skip step two and thus not waste our time with their horseshit Machiavellianism.

The worst are people who make completely unreasonable demands while doing this.

They always come across like this fucker:

Maybe it's just an American thing, but I absolutely fucking hate how both sides view labor unions, with the right it's the standard bullshit of "just work harder lol/you're an evil commie", like bro how about pay important shit like teachers a living wage (teachers in my area don't even get 30k a year). And it's funny that they'll rip apart big tech and the like but when the Great Registration happened in the USA, these same right wingers complained about "lazy ungrateful workers" and so on, like yeah I totally want to be force to piss into a bottle when in an Amazon job. And for leftists I hate how they paint rural labor unions as full of "evil bigoted Christians" like dude we get that the rural USA is a lot more religious in nature but just because someone somewhat believes in left wing economic policies doesn't mean that they're an atheist (there is such a thing as "Christian Leftism"). It's just weird that so many people will complain about the work culture of the USA, and then bash people trying to change it via a labor union or just leaving as with said "Great Registration".

I’m pissed off that the average e-girl has gone up thirty pounds just since e-girls came into being. It’s like the Illuminati are hell bent on feederism and fat acceptance. If you’re fat, and most Americans are, at least be fucking ashamed of it.

Also, in the 90’s, tattoos and anime were cool because they weren’t fucking mandatory. Now that they are, they’re gay
And that a large percentage of girls are fat or obese and ok with it.

So I am parked in a Walfart type parking lot in the furthest 1/3rd of the lot from the door. No other vehicles parked anywhere near where I am because it is too far away from the door or whatever. I shit you not, I was texting in the car and about three minutes later a vehicle pulls up right next to mine. I was puzzled. Then another vehicle did the same thing a few minutes later. It was like my car was a magnet because the rest of the lot was empty, plenty of free parking up front. I went in to get my shoppings and when I came out there were three more cars around mine despite the lot having plenty of parking up closer to the store. Just...why...? I was not mad or anything, just puzzled by my car island.

  • When people ask me if they can ask me a question
  • When people spew spaghetti all over the place trying to explain a simple situation
  • When people speak to me on super low volume, as if they did not want to disturb me, and they force me to tell them to fucking speak like a normal person. Then proceed to get all offended about it, as if it was my fault they speak like retards.
  • Seeing someone with a blank second screen or using click right to make a copy paste
  • Trying to help someone find something in the drive and realizing that they have pinned their whole fucking computer for quick access, and don't even know how to use it.

Anyway, another Tuesday at work, feel free to rate me MATI

People who use their age as an excuse to get out of anything, even reasonable stuff that don't require an excuse.
"Okay, we're having a discussion. Let me see your opinion-"
"Nah, I'm too old for this shit" implying that the guy sees the other guy as a child
I wouldn't be surprised if this is one reason 'zoomers' hate your kind, you fucking 'boomer'. Don't get mad at them seeing you for the same reason you did to them.
It's worse when both parties are adults, and one of them still goes "I'm older than you, so I'm correct on everything I say".

If some zoomer asks me about some stupid shit like Fortnite, I'm definitely going to point out how childish it is and likely fuck off. If you're referring to perfectly adequate conversational topics, like steak doneness or something else reasonable, then it would be immature to bring age into it.

What kinds of topics and their contexts are you referring to? I'm curious and wanting an EG or two.

It did started with steak doneness, hilarously enough. Then the topic moved to movies, specifically where Adult A said something like "I wish people behind movies learn that big-name actors aren't everything" where Adult B tried to refute with "who cares, it brings money" and Adult A responded back with "sure, but what about the other people with better talent? Why not use them?". Adult B went "I'm too old for this shit".
I then went AFK and came back some couple minutes ago to see the conversation somehow shifted to AI. It went basically:
Adult A: I think AI can be worked with, animators and writers already use it, like with helping with in-between frames and testing for accidental plagiarism respectively
Adult B: You're not seeing things our way, its stealing our art
A: It's unavoidable, I see my art used for RP purposes and its like a complement. Just work with it, use it to improve, or ignore it
The response from B again?
"Child, I'm too old for this shit" and walking off instead of acknowledging its some guy's opinion and wanting to see where he comes from, as in creating discussion. It's even worse when A walked off and B returned to start talking behind his back like "how A fell so hard", complaining how he was "sitting on the fence" and so on. It's not like A was baiting him or anything, so I don't get what B's deal is. Iirc, A is around the mid 20s range, and B is around the early 30s range.

Well there's your problem: you've just given it away that you're very clearly in a group chat with Patrick Tomlinson.
