Futbol thread.

Edit: this is prime Barca messi
I would actually pay good money to hear Ray Hudson call the final. It would only be right, he's the best at communicating how privileged we are to witness the genius of Messi.

For Messi to do what he did on the third goal today at age 35....that shouldn't be possible. But I guess we're talking about a guy who has redefined what is possible in football over the last 15 years.

Really impressive performance from Alvarez today too. I was worried when I saw the 4-4-2 but if that's what you're getting out of your forwards, no problem at all.

Well i don't have anything to say anymore. So I'm just going to post this.

As good as the World Cup is, I’m looking forward to league football again. The World Cup doesn’t do it for me in the same way. I’m guessing there’s going to be some upsets when we come back as some teams have big name injuries or tired players. Although I watched the highlights of a friendly match we played a few days ago and we looked shit so I wouldn’t bet on it. Christmas games should be fun.

I am looking forward to a return to League Football just because of the timing of everything. Having a weekend of games with a full year of storylines that come out of nowhere. But this world cup brought out a lot of cool story lines that I wasn't expecting. I wish the world cup wasn't in Qatar because of the bullshit alphabet mafia coming out. I wish I could have watched more games because none of them were predictable. It made everything so much more enjoyable knowing the outcome was never certain. Probably one of the better world cups in my lifetime

I'm excited for today's Morocco v France match since I'm in Morocco but it's going to be pouring down rain in EVERY SINGLE CITY in Morocco tonight when the match is set to be played which is actually ominous and is set to ruin the party/chimpout here.

It will help put the fires out. Paris is fucked either way though; either they win and smash shit up 'celebrating', or they lose and they smash a lot more shit up.

There is no true god except Allah. He is One and He has no partner with Him. His is the sovereignty and His is the priase, and He is Omnipotent. O Allah! None can deny that which You bestow and none can bestow that which You hold back, and the greatness of the great will be of no avail to them against You. O Allah! Give strength to your brave mujahideen against the French infidels today! Never forget how the infidels insulted the Prophet Muhommad (peace be upon his name). Make the infidels pay for their blasphemy today. Inshallah!

I'm not really a football fan but that Messi run + Alvarez goal was just beautiful.

I don't know if I'm looking forward to this match. I'm rooting for Morocco, but it seems likely France will win. I really hope Argentina beats them, as unlikely as it sounds, in the final. Would love to see trannylover Mbappe seethe after his "I DON'T WANT SOUTH AMERICANS" comments.

If Morocco wins I'll be happy, and while still favoring Argentina, I wouldn't mind a Morocco WC.

Rabiot has been dropped from the starting 11 due to illness. He's been one of the standout midfielders of the tournament. The power of Allah knows no bounds!

Edit: Noussair Mazraoui (one of Morocco's best players) will be returning from injury today, making his WC debut. Allah has willed it!
