If you are not a degenerate deviant coomer then you have nothing to worry if you get doxxed.

Not to sound arrogant, but if people try to dox me they'll find I live in a third world country, I'm incredibly autistic towards dogs and i don't like trans... And that my youtube history is full of iceberg videos.

However for people like Lucas, being doxxed is a really scary thing due to their deviant behavior which is highly illegal and a true reflection on the destructive nature of degeneracy.

Sure that's true, but my point is that just about everyone that has been doxed and subsequently halaled here has thought that they, personally, were fine upstanding members of the community, and that it was the other people that were the degenerates. We've seen it with @OrsonZedd, we've seen it with @Angry Canadian, we've seen it with @LagoonaBlue, the list goes on. These were all people that happily laughed alongside us at lolcows, having convinced themselves that their own behavior was normal. People have a massive blind-spot for themselves.

Case in point though, Keffals is convinced that nothing he's doing is wrong. He's actually deluded himself into thinking he has moral high ground, and if he hadn't been doxed there's no doubt in my mind he'd be one of those faggots saying "So what if the Farms doxes me? I have nothing to hide, I'm not a degenerate."

Sure, maybe you're actually not a degenerate after all, and as such, getting doxed wouldn't matter. But given the place that the Farms is and our (glorious) track record, many of the people making that same declaration will be wrong, and hilariously so.

No idea if that warning was already on the Sign Up page in 2015, but it was definitely something that Null and everyone else emphasized quite strongly.

From the "Cybersecurity 101" thread, 2015:
#2: Never use the same name twice.
The most common mistake. The best way to deal with this, of course, is to not use the same username more than one place. Especially not here. If there's no way to link you back to a Facebook account or another place you might've used your real name, there's no threat. 90% of the time, this is how people fuck up.

The earliest definite proof I found of that message being on the Sign Up screen is from a Jan 2017 archive and Feb 2017 archive, but I suspect it had been there for a while before that.

On second thought, wouldn't it be pretty easy for somebody to steal the instagram handle of their enemy/somebody they want to bully, make a KF account, post some dumb/embarrassing bullshit to get attention and basically bait us to personal army their target at no risk to themselves? Nobody sane would post their kinks under an account with the same handle as their personal instagram on Reddit or Twitter let alone Kiwifarms.
