There was a lot of celebrating from the usual suspects when Elon Musk stopped being the richest man in the world. Funny how none of them mentioned it was for less than an hour, then he was back on top again. No word on the French guy that replaced him for under sixty minutes, either - eat the rich, unless we think their existence annoys a different rich person we don't like.

These are people so mush-brained and Twitter-addicted that they've just taken their Trump Derangement Syndrome and replaced it with Musk Derangement Syndrome. Exact same reactions, buzzwords, accusations and idiocy. And never forget the projection, always projection. They constantly try and taunt him with the things they think he will be upset by, often because it's what would upset them. The problem there is that Trump was far easier to mock in a way that obviously annoyed him. Musk has been better at not acknowledging when people have hit home, or at least tying those hits in with things the general public accept as being sensitive topics - the safety of his kids being the main one. So for the people attacking him for taking down the Musk Plane twitter account, he can point to this handy video and say it's in defense of his infant, and most people will accept that as reasonable. 'I suspended the Twitter accounts of a guy who made it possible for someone to attack my kid,' doesn't sound so bad, considering.

But then, I'm just enjoying the show. Musk is annoying people I hate, and if Twitter dies or suddenly becomes less toxic I couldn't give a shit. My opinion is that he's having fun shitposting and riling up a bunch of people who he knows would hate him forever no matter what he does, and as a poster here I appreciate that ethos, especially as I know that those people also hate me and everyone here forever, no matter what we do. It's why it's mildly annoying that there are posters who want to make sure everyone hates Elon Musk as much as they do. Only mildly, but still - I get it, he sucks and you hate him, but I'm enjoying the show and you're like an SJW trying to tell me my fun is problematic. I have no loyalty to the man, there are valid criticisms to be made, but maybe try a less scolding approach.

This is the answer.

It is absolutely impossible to be part of any fan-community for anything on Twitter, without having porn shoved in your face. If something you like attracts Japanese people, troons, fujoshis, or has an underage character, it is a nightmare. And yes, I am aware that items 1, 2, and 4 can be condensed into "has pedophile orbiters," but the troon and Japanese Twitter menace really needs to be specially highlighted.

This is because the sick fucks absolutely refuse to mark their shit sensitive or as adult content. Most have no concept of segregating things, and even if they do they do this wink wink nudge nudge thing of "look at my NSFW account." You can literally be scrolling around looking at normal fanmade content then run into someone's commission advertising post that just so happens to have an underage character, possibly not even from the same franchise, being molested.

Oh, and if you report that even today, there's a reasonable shot it will only be marked sensitive and not nuked.

you're going to have a really hard time finding any mildly popular website that isn't full of minors to some extent on the internet, this one included. I don't see anime shit on twitter but honestly I'm yet to find porn when browsing regular stuff, granted there are the many "follow me on this nsfw profile" or some shit but let's be honest that's not really that different from putting a link to their deviantart. I'm sure even the SFW artists would get pissed because false positives are pretty common on automatic processes, and with stuff like shadow banning we can see how that would be a pretty big problem.

Twitter would just lose users by banning porn, that's it, pedos would still get kids on their discords regardless, maybe you'll see less porn on your anime tags or whatever but im sure more people are looking for it than those bothered by it.

The fact that there’s the possibility of minors lurking here is one of the many reasons Josh banned porn here, funny enough.

Twitter would also lose all the coombrained degenerates if Elon banned porn, which is always a good thing. Either that or Elon should make the minimum join age be 18 instead of 13.

US companies use 13 as the limit because of COPPA, the Children's Online Privacy Protection rule. It's the youngest a person can be before the service gets in trouble for holding their PII without parental permission, so you can see why they would pick it. More data for their engines.

Porn isn't banned here, not sure where you got that from. Threads dedicated to porn might be banned but the reasoning for it is most likely because having porn for porn's sake(and not attached to a cow or community or whatever) brings and creates cliques of insufferable maladjusted retards, just look at discords with nsfw channels or current year /b/, not because some minor who said they were 18 might see it.

Yes twitter would lose all the degenerates that use his service and get him ad revenue for no gain, great idea. Going in circles now anyway so lets focus back on twitter people doing things we laugh at yea.
