I don't know, I remember really enjoying the Minecraft content AH did, like the competitions for the Throne of Pimps or whatever. I guess "King Ryan's" stuff didn't age that well, though.
Both of those series started off very well, and had a year or two of good content, but after a certain point both got extremely repetitive and caused the channel to stagnate, but then they decided to keep running both of those series for ten years, even as the views tanked.
When they did more varied stuff it was better, and they seemed to enjoy it more. It fell apart when they were forced to stick to the same games over and over.
That and the company acquisition by Full Sale. RT's staff thought the old fans' warning about going corporate was a hipster response but in reality it was having the prior experience of witnessing companies have a mass influx of $ at their apex that draws smiling glad hands and opportunists. Mia Khalifa working at RT is the quintessential example of that. She wanted to use RT for its broadcasting infrastructure and fanbase so she ingratiated herself with Barbara and Mariel Salcedo but when she was confronted by RT fans for streaming while driving, it being in poor taste when RT fans died on their way to RTX 2015 because of another driver being on their phone, Mia told RT fans that she didn't give a shit. Which is why Sportsball with her and Tyler Coe failed miserably.
