What I've seen, Vorobey is the closest thing to a troll you can get without being ostracized from the TF2 community, so him stirring up drama isn't new, but it's certainly welcome.

IMO the brony invasion of 2011 and all-around Gmod autism is what enticed this game to descent slowly into the depths of the Hell-fire, this game has been completely filled with degens since 2010. Gay taunts and other shit that distanced away from the art-style and gameplay (furry hat #32) was pouring gas on the fire. Don't even get me started with how this is (probably) the only game in existence where you can literally import absolutely any image onto a Sign/Badge that has zero moderation (this is a double-edged sword). I used to love how based Valve was with shit like this but as time goes on and the Overton window for this game's community goes more Weimar I think the absurd customizability on this game is what neutered itself, after Valve found out they could not only release shitty low-poly hats (I love the old hats don't get me wrong) and get money for it, but ALSO get this absolutely fucking retarded community to collectively shit bricks over them and have a community that is more than willing to shit out content for them with literally zero effort on their side, it was over. There hasn't been a new weapon since Love & War, nearly 9 fucking years ago (and the weapon models were community-made LOL!!!), and barely any noticeable balance changes the last five years, that's how you know this game has been on life-support with only a slow drip IV. Just to remind everyone, the last major update (Jungle-Inferno) was nearly 6 years ago.

I honestly cannot see how anyone can enjoy Lazypurple all that much. I remember back when I used to watch his videos back in 2013/2014 and thought he was one of the best channels for TF2. Now I can't even bare to watch any new videos he put out since coming out of hiatus since he's such an insufferable person outside of the game and has one of the worst community servers I've ever played on as well. His style of videos just feels way too predictable and kind of boring. Same with Uncle Dane, but he somehow manages to have even worse community servers than Lazypurple and even whinier players populating those servers.

One of the trends I've seen was making the game more competitive from tf2ubers saying removing random crits, having a casual 6s or tweaking the rules/weapons that match competitive(not official competitive but the community one ). Thinking that will make people come to play the game and Valve to make more content saving the game. Failing to realize what happened to Overwatch which killed it. Or Tf2 gets the case of melee, making the same characters/ loadouts the standard and making the rest useless. Failing to realize that game is designed for fun (being different that the other shooters) and not to be taken too seriously.

Of course the TF2ubers with a few thousand hours in the game would want random crits removed. How dare a game have a mechanic that lets new players occasionally get a kill on someone who treats Valve's War-Themed Hat Simulator like a job. TF2 at its best is an entertaining experience, not a 24/7 competitive sweatfest. I'm perfectly fine with people that like that type of gameplay though, however perhaps they could just use community servers that have what they want instead of trying to force it on the base game. Also, if you want to be a try hard so much just go to CS:GO where that type of player is appealed to more.
