It's fucking pathetic how much it comes down to the judge being more sympathetic to your position, whether it's the bullshit in Arizona or elsewhere. NY Kiwis, can anyone confirm these are being discussed in the state legislature? I feel like I'm looking at a post from 2021, but this is apparently all stuff that New York Dems are going to try to pass after New Year's that they attempted to pass in some capacity last winter but I admittedly wasn't paying attention due to life stuff.

I feel like my time in New Jersey may be coming to an end if any of these pass. I work here, but being within proximity to NYS and the metro area at the same time presents more opportunities for work. Even the bills that specifically involve children and education affect everyone because they set dangerous precedents for what the state is allowed to enforce. It really seems like Hochul wants to bring back the covid measures of last year, but this time she intends to fully legislate them into law. What I'm confused by is why and how these bills have any support at all outside of NYC the vaxxmaxxed fringes of the state political machine. All the covid measures were dropped by April and aside from the drastic increase to the cost of living and a general feeling of constant fatigue, life has returned to normal. No one actually wants this covid shit to come back aside from a very loud minority of hypochondriacs and control freaks.

Either all of those things will not pass in the way they like, or they will be rephrased and reworded in a way where even the most loyal diehard liberal Democrats will get sick of their rules being trampled on since it is an inconvenience to them.

Any Governor threatening to imprison people that they consider to be a threat to public health sounds more like a dictator than a politician. Plus, the medical records of people who simply chose to not want to be vaccinated getting wiped out will gather way too many lawsuits that most will not ignore this.

People seem to forget Kyrie Irving was the spokesperson for NYC as to why you do not threaten the livelihoods of people who do not like the idea of working just for free.
