Futbol thread.

Never say never although I don't think that it will ever happen. The gap between teams is not only getting bigger on club level but also on national team level.

So if Haarland can keep the level he has shown in the last 3-4 years while he's playing for big teams like Man City he may be a name we will here more often in a new g.o.a.t. discussion. At least on club level.
What France has borders on cheating, you can make two separate world cup worthy teams from their NT (and they stil lost LOL).

We will need to see both in one league playing eachother to create this discussion, either mbappe joins Liverpool or man United or both move to reignite the Barca x Madrid legacy. If Haarland never gets a chance to prove himself against mbappe, especially while the later is internationally proven, he will never be considered to be on the same level.

Good point.

And there's the international club titles. Both haven't won any yet (champions league, euro league, the 3rd one no one cares about).

The only club I see Mbappe move to after PSG is Real Madrid atm. I don't think Quatar will ever let it happen that he moves to Abu Dhabi (Man City) or Saudi Arabia (Newcastle) and other clubs (Man U, Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal) won't probably be able to pay (for) him. Same vice versa for Haarland going to PSG.
But will Barcelona ever be able to get Haarland? Or be interested in him? 🤔

Angel Di Maria deserves this glory just as much as Messi. He's been one of the most underrated players of his generation since he's always played with bigger personalities like Ronaldo, Zlatan, Neymar, etc.

I'm a Juventus fan and wasn't crazy about the club signing him (mainly cause of his age) but it's such a privilege to watch this guy play. There are not many on his level when it comes to technique, you could probably count them on one hand.

And it shouldn't be lost on anyone that Argentina completely dominated this game until the moment he was subbed out. If he had 90 minutes in his legs, this probably would've been 2-0 or more.

Journoscum HAVE to find something right? Lol

Holy shit is that journo illiterate. The page he posted literally says the attire they're referring to is worn after the trophy presentation. Further that the attire they are required to wear during the presentation is the one they wore during the game which it was.

Bros, I had to come back home to take a shit, but I will go back to the obelisco, I am so fucking happy, fuck you France. I almost die like 3 times today.

If I was one of the anglos setting on top of the PL, I will be drooling to recreate this rivalry on my soil, they already have the biggest and most accessable league and a strong propaganda machine to go with it, just imagine the scenes. Hell, I wil create a fund to pay for mbappe, maybe even convince all PL teams to cough up some, weaker teams already suck a portion of bigger teams winnings just because, and the bigger teams can only see bigger profits.

Isn't Barca suffering financially? I don't think they can have Haarland. And if not for mbappe fanboying over Ronaldo and his willingness to accept much less money, I don't think Madrid can have him either.

I'm recovering from a pretty bad flu (don't know how the fuck I got flu during summer) and I'm tempted to go out, but I'm a little too close to the 2 million human ball for comfort and I rather not cause other people to spend christmas coofing.

I can tell you that just from watching outside the window and hearing, they are still going, likely going to keep it up until tuesday.

Only one yellow card in the tournament. Well done, lads. It's not about winning...it's about diversity, inclusion and fair play.

Funny enough, Bilardo (86' argentina coach) said "if you guys bring the fair play award i'm kicking you all, "fair play" It's a british invention"

Police almost beated my ass and someone stepped on my ankle but GOD if it was worth it.

Di Maria deserves the glory but some unreal talent that I don't think anyone expected to come out and help Argentina win this tournament.

-Alvarez, Enzo Fernandez, Mac Allister, Otamendi, Molina, Paredes, Montiel, Tagliafico, and De Paul

Its unreal how amazing every one of them stepped up and played a role in this team that was insanely valuable and let Messi take over the tournament at 35.

Also shoutout to Thiago Almada. Entered into the squad due to injury and is now the first active MLS player to win a World Cup title
