𝕏 / Twitter / X, the Social Media Platform Formerly Known as Twitter / "MUSK OWNS TWITTER"

This guy's whole twitter seems dedicated to nothing but sperging about Elon, with a bit of world cup mixed in. He makes a bunch of unsubstantiated claims about owning "$1.420 billion worth of Tesla stock" and being a billionaire investor, but seems to just be some minor record producer / DJ from Dubai. Of course, he could be some Saudi prince's bored kid, but my doubt meter is registering high on this one.

I'm not surprised people are happy to let some nobody exec be their new social media overlord rather than daddy e-celeb billionaire who 1000:1 might read their tweet. It's like they've already forgotten how boring things got when Blumpf got shitcanned off the site.
Maybe he'll give the job to Jack.

Inshallah!

Are you telling me he spent $44 billion dollars on the thing and isn't the sole owner/main decision maker over someone who invested 2 billion? That doesn't make sense to me.
Just because he spent $44 billion doesn't mean the chunk he purchased is worth $44 billion. From what I understand he offered to buy it for that much basically as a joke, and Twitter/Jack essentially had to sue him/make legal threats to make him go through with it.

This will inevitably be compared to J6 (if it hasn't already). For a brief time, the overlords of Clown World were reminded of their mortality, of what it's like to be powerless.

Was it ever gonna change anything for the better? No. They will not let this humiliation go unpunished. They'll look for every avenue of revenge.

Was it lulzy? Yes. Was it worth watching for the temporary Schadenfreude? Fuck yeah, it was.

Just wanted to point out that Jack actually supported Musk's takeover with his own shares. It was the pajeet CEOs who sued to keep Elon in the game.

Does Elon own a controlling share of Tesla? (more than 51%) if not he can easily get snowballed by every other share holder tag teaming him
As of a recent article by the Washington Post Elon Musk currently holds roughly 13% share. KoGuan, (who reportedly owns 6.3 million shares out of 69.09 million shares) whom has a roughly 9% share seems to be the first large shareholder to throw a stink, however, a former tesla Executive, Herbert Kohler, seems to have an even higher share than Elon Musk currently has in Tesla at 12.98 million shares (According to this capital.com article) which, if the numbers are right, gives him roughly 18.7% share in Tesla, giving him a larger controlling interest than Musk.

I am having trouble finding the next few largest shareholders, but it seems, aside from perhaps the saudis, not many more individuals or investment firms have more than decimals of percentage control, so I imagine a vote to oust him with a majority would be a bit difficult.

I hope he steps down as CEO and lets a string of retards run the place, all of whom resign after a week or two bc none of them can handle it, running the platform completely into the ground. The best possible outcome from Musk buying twitter is that twitter falls apart and dies. Him stepping down as CEO will almost certainly bring us closer to that.
Maybe that is the intention, and Elon is bailing out because he knows Twitter is hopeless and is getting some uncomfortable reminders from some powerful people about that truth. People laugh at Twitter dying, but you just know if it did "they" would create something even worse to fill the void. TPTB need something like Twitter.
If that guy became head of Twitter, he'd probably commit suicide by three shotgun blasts to the back of the head.

Recent test went 500 miles @ 81,000lbs (yes, ev trucks get an extra 2k or 3k lbs thanks to law).
The first 300 miles of which was the Central Valley. For anyone that's never been, it's flatter than people think Kansas is. They did pull Grapevine, a 5% grade that gains 1,600ft. I'll be impressed when somebody does Alpine Junction to Cheyenne in an EV truck. 442 miles, starting and ending elevations of around 6,000' and 2 passes at 7600' and 8600' either side of Laramie. Even the opposite direction would be somewhat impressive.
The thing about EV semis is they don't need gear reduction or turbos to spool up. They get 100% torque from 0 rpm.
Detroit DD16 produces 2050lb/ft at 975 rpm. Quite a few of them kicking around at 105.5K gross. What EV trucks can't do is produce that level of torque for hours on end.

If anyone is curious why the torque curve is so flat, 2050lb/ft is currently the max input torque for heavy spec transmissions.

See, my understanding doesn't necessarily contradict yours, but I thought why he tried to pull out was because he plausibly accused Twitter of lying about the number of people vs. bots on the platform, and maybe some other things they were lying about in their official reports.

Then a few months later suddenly he'd bought it. Which is possibly less due to what was being reported and more due to me being distracted by what was happening with the Farms.

It’s as simple as he made an offer just before the entire stock market shit itself. Had he waited a month or so he could have bought the whole company for much less.

If this is true and say Saudi's gain control of Twitter, I won't even laugh about Twitter anymore and I'd ask Twitter HQ be relocated to that shit hole where it belongs.
Didn't Null say he was moving, potentially? :optimistic: Though honestly, if Twitter became more Like KiwiFarms, I'd probably use it. Beats Mastadon.
