Imagine, thinking anything with something like this in it:

is a masterpiece that rivals King Lear or Citizen Kane. Its what makes tweets like this from Mauler:

so funny to me because this fat fuck is the definition of a pseudointellectual. I doubt you read anything that wasn't Martin's incest fanfics Callum. You don't strike me as the kind of guy who reads actual books and stories like Dostoevsky, Dumas or Bradbury. Your taste are very childish and immature but then again so it is with the rest of the Fagtard Menace. I would say that you are a diet Sargon but Sargon at least reads actual books, runs a book club where they read actual literature and he lost a lot of weight to where he is now at a healthy size for his age unlike you you egoistical pig.
Not only that but the squirell is voiced by Prozd one of the worst voice actors in the industry right after Troy Baker.
When it comes to Mauler, the JW clip came up which is probably the biggest self report lmao. But evenif you don't watch that one you can piece together this dude doesen't ready anything. He NEVER read the source material to anything they watch - Not GoT, not Lotr, he hasn't even read a fucking comic book. This then comes out in the Efap stance of "Oh we don't respect the adaptation argument" - Which is just code for "Oh we don't know the source material and we don't care about it." To which I say - Fuck you then?
The argument that "Oh adaptation doesen't need to be faithfull it just needs to be good on it's own" is retarded. If you don't plan on faithfully adapt something, just make something new and don't change the thing that's something completely else. I think it's an argument born of ignorance cause if you did know the source material you wouldn't think this.
Which is the case with Efap hypocrites! I dunno if this actually came up but Fringy during the Efap episodes on the Halo show was complaining a lot about how inaccurate the show was. And Fringy is the one who always screaches "muh adaptation arguments" whenever something else gets criticized as a poor adaptation. To me it showed that Fringy was an uneducated fuck who just plays videogames so he knows when those are not adapted properly and gets uspet when that's not the case but also gets uspet when stuff he likes gets called out as a poor adaptation. Since he's a weird fucking autist. Watch the episodes on Halo it's funny to hear him squirm as he's trying to say it's bad cause it's a bad adaptation but also trying not to sound like a hypocrite he absolutely is in that situation.
Back to Mauler and reading books though. I am younger then Mauler, I am fairly younger then him. Not gonna show my power levels or anything but I wouldn't be shocked if I was a generation lower then him, and I read books quite frequently. I am not a big fan of Dostojevskij or Čapek myself, I had to read it in high school and I thought it sucked. I think fantasy is a perfectly fine diet of books to consume if you want, if anything you should prolly have a primarily fantasy book diet if you review fantasy and sci fi movies. So that you can actually compare with a much more developped medium like literature when you review film.
Mauler: Things have to make some semblance of sense.
JW: That would make for boring art.
Fucking kek. The legendary filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock once said logic is dull. Not everything needs to make sense and be logical. For instance, David Lynch's works are surrealist. They aren't suppose to make sense but rather the stories and themes are told through symbolism. Could you imagine what Eraserhead and Twin Peaks would have been like if they were "logical"? They would have been terrible and dull! Logic doesn't always mean smart Callum.
Tbh. this is from a time I agreed with Mauler a lot more. I agree that you should make sure your plot makes sense, it has some logical structure. Things can't just happen in plot cause "it's fantasy" - That's poor writing that's gonna tear your audience right out of the experience. This is amateur book writer 101
Logical consistency wouldn't make for boring films. It just speaks to how JW is a dullard without a speck of creativity. It's one of the most fun process' in writing trying to figure out how to move the plot or add things without breaking your established continuity. Unless the base premise of your plot is about breaking continuity and breaking the rules (Like a time travel story or smth like that) internal cosistency (not realism) is very important.
EDIT: To the topic of adaptation argument and EFAP. I gotta quickly bring up one of the most retarded points I've ehard in my entire life. When the show about Anne Boleyn witht he black actress came out and people pointed out that it's not historically accurate. This FUCKING FAGGOTS had the GALL to say "That doesen't matter to us we don't accept adaptation arguments" - Motherfucker it's a historical doccumentary! You can't just change shit willy nilly like a comic book movie you uneducated fuck. Because then people like you who spent a total of five years in school will think that's how the history actually went.
