Nader's public defender doesn't have the time or the energy to play 5-D chess and set the stage so Chantal can be raked over the coals. Even if she could somehow serve a purpose toward exonerating Nader, or if there was any legal merit to the idea that getting her on the stand could play into punishing her for the false charges she filed, no one would do it because Chantal is clinically insane, a proven liar and never thinks of consequences when she is angry, and she is very angry at the moment. If a defense attorney knows that at any moment something could come out of your mouth that could destroy the defendant, ain't no way that person is going to be called to give testimony. Unless the prosecution is calling her to court, Nader is lying, and even the prosecution would be unwilling to deal with her since her very presence there would emphasize the fact that some women do, in fact, lie about abuse.

And I don't think the specter of being summoned to court influenced Chantal's decision to go to the Middle East. Chantal is before all other things a lazy glutton and she would not have wasted food money and energy hauling herself to Kuwait were there not a lot more going into it than just avoiding court. If she wanted to evade such a thing she would fake an illness to go to the ER hours before she was to appear. Or fake a psych emerg issue and land herself in a 72 hour hold (or however things like that work in Canada).

So my money is on Nader lying about trying to summon Chantal to court. We'll see.

In addition to Nader owning million dollar property in Egypt, he also has an excellent lawyer. The court-appointed lawyer who probably has hundreds of other clients and makes DD go to meetings with him because the lawyer doesn't want to be alone with him.

Nader is so incredibly stupid, I really believe he thinks a solid defence is "bitches be crazy" and wants to show that Mae and Chantal are nuts, therefore he's innocent of everything everywhere and we have to admit his cooking is the best cooking of all the cooking. He seems to genuinely think he has a legal grievance against her regarding those deleted videos, but that was his fault for letting her have access to his account and not changing the password before DeeDee came over. He was still talking about the three videos she deleted yesterday like it was some kind of major crime. I don't even want to try to imagine living with this jerk if he can't let something so trivial go. It's more than a year now, he got his initial views, so maybe lost $5 on the possible clicks. Correct, we have no proof from the court of the nature of the criminal charges. Mae says it is about her case, and Nader has acknowledged there are charges in connection to Mae but we have not seen them, so it could be sexual assault or just assault.

Chantal is relevant to the case depending upon how either side would want to use her testimony. She had prior knowledge a "fan" was coming to see Nader. She also inserted herself into the case by trying to be his alibi initially. Plus I think Mae found Nader via Chantal's channel. BUT either side would be foolish to call her as she has a major credibility issue and her testimony could be impeached.

I just canNOT believe that her plan worked. Everything she's done in the past several months has been to win him back/make him jealous (as a prelude to winning him back). She... she won. She did it. She prevailed.

I don't know if anyone else here watched the Darrell Brooks trial (maniac who drove his SUV through that parade in Wisconsin last year) but I think Nader envisions the same sort of situation that Brooks tried to make manifest. Nader is smart enough to rely on a lawyer whilst Brooks represented himself, but they both salivate at the thought of putting their ex girlfriend on the stand and punishing her defiance by humiliating her in front of the court. Even if the court doesn't side with the men and just put the women in prison for being bad people who hurt their feelings, at least they got to publicly call them a bad mother or a gross pig or whatever. Nader LOVES humiliating his partners. He would LOVE to put Chantal on the stand and make her cry, and air out her dirty laundry (figuratively this time, but let's not forget he's done that literally). Better still if the judge throws her in jail just for being a bad person and pain in Nader's royal neck. Fantasies like that are extremely common in narcissists.
