I think part of the problem is that Nick has never had more than a superficial, instinctual perspective on the (non-legal) topics he discusses. His understanding of libertarianism is on the level of someone that occasionally reads a mises.org blog post. The same could be said for his Christianity, e.g. he once endorsed the fideist view that reason has nothing to do with Christian belief, which is (according to his and Lady R's milquetoast non-denominational evangelicalism) a pure leap of faith in the (bastardized) sense of belief in the absence of evidence. This is odd for someone raised Catholic, given that the Church officially rejects this position, holding that God's existence can be established by philosophical argument (of course, whether this is true isn't the point), which makes me suspect he really never took Catholicism seriously.

So he's bored of the one area in which he has some expertise (law), and doesn't have the education nor insight to offer interesting commentary from a libertarian / Christian perspective capable of maintaining an audience; there are numerous YTers that do that latter much more effectively than Rackets. So he's defaulted to getting drunk, cracking the same jokes, and discussing the degenerate shit that can at least hold on to the weird crowd composed of lonely wine moms and failed 20-something horny males.

I'm actually skeptical whether the cuckold shit is true, but at this point, I hope it is just so I can enjoy his inevitable meltdown.
