The point isn't to win the general election, the point is to take a big fat dump on the republicants' income source. Yes, RINOS and DINOs agree on policy, but they are still competing with each other for donor and trustfund money. Every time people chip in to sabotage one side and are successful doing so, that is a colossal amount of money lost for that side in the next election cycle as donors reallocate their funding.
