I had to turn my VPN off for the site to even load. Thats gonna fuck their already low user base, since jannies are so ban happy. The site looks really good aside from it being all fucked and there being no threads.

LMAO I know exactly the story arc that this was made for (the moid in the middle is Matthew Prince of Cloudflare and that's a urinal behind Elaine)

I'm having trouble accessing the site too and hear that people are getting odd errors anyway so probably just going to wait. If she isn't going to migrate all the threads then that is a shame, I don't know anything about the internals LynxChan and only the basics of vichan but it doesn't seem like it would be all that hard to do from the raw database. But I could be corrected about that. Maybe it is a decision she made. I just hope communication is better.

If VPNs are banned then on the one hand it will take care of the identityfagging tranny/CP spam problem but on the other hand we won't be able to use them either. That's a hard one. I might take admin knowing where I live over having to see that shit. But others will feel differently and above all I hope none of this means people will abandon the community.

Yeah, well I know that I and quite a few others got banned in the great Janny Tranny Bannings of 2022. I saw people complaining about getting banned for it in meta, then they got banned for ban evading. Admin doesn't care about the appeal emails either. And the troon is still posting anyway, so its just their own users getting the shit end of the stick. I haven't posted on there since, but it's annoying that I'll have to turn my VPN on and off to read there and post here.
 
Site is fucked, but admin is working on it and things seem to be improving. Right now I can only get in on my phone and without VPN. Bunker thread's fun if you know where to find it.

Currently old threads I guess are not moved over to the new site, which is using LynxChan. Admin said she doesn't want to mess around with database internals to migrate them but wants to scrape from the website (the HTML files, I assume) which is honestly probably a reasonable way to go about it. I just hope the threads get migrated.

Don't give up hope, nonnies. I see people saying they want to quit the site but honestly it's Christmas, give her a chance to get things in order is how I feel about it.

You can't do what they did.

Imageboard users are the most autistic people online. The format is 20 years old. Changing a single trivial thing in CSS will piss them all off.

A big change like this needs to be done with lots of warning. You get a beta rolling. You let people play with it and get feedback. You fix things over months. When it's good for almost everyone, then you write the import script. Then you do the launch AFTER the holidays because things will break every time and you don't want to hot patch on Christmas.

I guess they wanted it to be a Christmas present, but cookies are presents. New homes need some deliberation.

Some people can't get on the site, i dont know why, I can but a lot of people can't. I feel bad for Shaymin but she does not talk to us or tells us anything. The site went down like twice and the only answers we'd get was from that discord.
Apparently old admin started the new site but left it to shaymin is what I've heard.

They're pretty aggressive about banning VPNs, largely because of the schizotroon who shitposts (and posts literal child porn) to fuck up threads.

Bummer if it goes down. Much like the original /cow/ it had some cozy threads. I liked the KF thread while we were down because it was the least retarded of all the other options (and I will eat a Glock before I make a Telegram account).

I can get to it on TOR but only sometimes.
