I'm happy at least that he's trying to expirement and improve. There are too many youtubers that get comfortable, start dropping views, start losing subs, and then sperg out, wondering why it's happened. I find it important that this stuff is documented in a easily accessible format, like with the Monkey Hate video, it brings awareness on the issue and pressure to stop it.

The Monkey Hate shit was known since 2015. Also, what does "it brings awareness on the issue and pressure to stop it" even means? What are you going to do? flag videos that were already put on private and are going to get shared on other sites anyways?

If Glenn the Hen's videos are the only "content" you enjoy on the platform. Then the situation is getting pretty dire.

ur retarded brah
What color do you paint your nails? faggot.

This thread is so consistent lmao. Everytime I check in I see Bowblax and Augie being faggots and passing mentions of Jaubrey's slow decline.

The established titles shit stunk of scam and tbh people who buy stuff because their favourite YTer tells them to deserve to be scammed. As a general rule if you see something being shilled by more than 2 creators with zero viewer overlap, treat it as too good to be true or completely useless to you as an individual. What the fuck are you gonna use a 1 sqft piece of land in a country you'll never visit for?

No, these people you think are your friends don't enjoy playing Raid shadow legends, their lives weren't changed by the unprecedented efficiency of Hello Fresh recipes, they only used the manscape package once, they don't think Raycon earbuds are as good as "other premium brands", and InsertnamehereVPN's "limited time" 88% discount + 3 MONTHS FREE promo that has been running for 5 years straight is not a discount. It's just the actual price.

How do people not immediately skip after hearing "but before we get started"? Who are the retards that continue to fall for completely soulless ad reads?

That's the power of parasocial relationships. People have said it before and possibly better than me and it's not really YouTuber-exclusive either.

People will buy anything if it's shilled by their favorite "celebrity",, no matter how useless it is. Like idk, Bespoke Post (which is just paying too much money for monthly junk, you probably have zero use for) or ScentBird (which is also paying too much money for monthly, maybe nice-smelling junk, you probably have zero use for)

Don't forget the absolute shit products like raycon ear buds and nordVPN.
Nord the VPN that got hacked into it's "military grade encryption," over three years ago and exposed tons of personal info they said they didnt collect.

I do think the parasocial bubble will pop eventually when one product fucks up just a bit too much.
Then we will see the apologyfest like what happened after established titles got exposed or betterhelp but on a massive scale.

It is only a matter of time before the audience has a spergout against the creators supporting stuff like that.

Idk if much will happen even then. Better Help was the closest we got to this and it didn't really impact any creators at all. Maybe some backlash, but nothing that didn't go away in a week.

Raycon's are especially overpriced garbage and have the worst carrying case out of all the wireless ear buds I have seen, dank pods made a good video breaking down what a terrible value they really are a while back.

You just made me think of the Candid shit (RIP Harmful Opinions). People were upset for a while and it was quickly forgotten.

And then BetterHelp, which was also forgotten. Hell, Philip TheFucker still has his audience of morons ready to suck his dick.

It's like people have the collective memory of goldfish and get super shocked every time an overshilled sponsor turns out to be a complete scam.

Like how many times do people need to get "shocked" before they get tired of it?

Or better yet, hold Youtubers responsible for their shameless shekel-chasing.

Edit: phrasing

dreading is good stuff , j aubrey is just a run through them and spit them out i don't like his content as its very surface level.
The things I initially liked about Jaubrey were his godtier editing and his weird half-laugh half-vomit cadence. It gets old after a while though. And his recent topic choice don't help at all.
Seconded on dreading. That team is going places. The only thing they need to work on is their tendency to just play raw interview/interrogation clips for like 30 mins at a time with zero commentary.
Some videos like the Larry Nassir, Tony Todt, Jussie Smollett and Nancy Brophy ones, they hit it out of the park, but others like the Nathan Larson and Joel Guy one are just incredibly boring because of how long they let shit go on without adding anything. He actually read Nathan Larson's entire manifesto and it went on for like an hour. Wtf!!

Dave's Lemonade is another high quality channel within that space. His latest video on the Waukesha Xmas parade attack was superb. I enjoyed it so much I'm currently watching the full trial hearings to see what a piece of shit the defendant really is, and man did he deliver. If the crime he committed and his behavior in court weren't so heinous, he'd absolutely be deserving of a cow thread. The trial alone is enough to make one, but his entire life is both evil and lolworthy.
Anyway anyone seen Avian Avery's interview with the guy behind the 4chan femboy stuff:

I skipped the main video because the premise just sickens me, so I'm not even interested in what the shitstain behind it has to say.

New TRO, tackling Dr. Phil fuckery that only wine moms and fame-hungry weirdos watch. It's two and a half hours long so heads up.

You know the vid is gonna be pretentious with a padded runtime when you see [read more] on over half the comments. Dr. Phil is shit and he's done some really fucked up stuff. You don't need more than half an hour to explain that.

edit: ffs I hovered over the chapters, they're all one word shit like "renaissance" "Messiah" "responsibility"
it's Dr. Phil bro, it's not that deep

It's the classic TRO padding in medium form for you. In full form, this would be like four hours long with more of TRO dancing around topics and constantly playing clips that 75% of the time don't really add a point.

I think my biggest point of contention was the ad read. I put the video on as background noise and the fucking thing felt like it lasted for three eternities. It might also be because TRO sounded particularly forced during it and that the "product" itself just rubbed me the wrong way big time.

Sponsorblock has been a basic necessity for youtube for a while: https://sponsor.ajay.app/

Skip it. Better to read the thread in the Stink Ditch. You'll get the same info and won't waste your time.

You're fucked if you're on mobile. Vanced is dead and the browsers with sponsorblock scripts are sloppy at best.
