There's a lot to unpack here, but by virtue of the fact that these DMs are over a year old I reckon most of it is of limited relevance anymore and really just confirms what many could tell to be true about Ralph.

Personally I think the most revealing bits are the fact that, seemingly, both Meigh and Gator are better than Ralph deserves, which is saying something, and the revelation that Ethan loves Vegas more than Meigh.

What is it about Vegas that Ralph loves so much? One could say its the gambling, or the booze/drugs, or the loose/purchasable women, but I suspect its something deeper than any of that. Yes, those vices are clearly important to Ralph, but it's also not like he has to go to Vegas to engage in them. He gambles remotely, drinks constantly, and cheats on Meigh both literally and figuratively (porn, strip clubs, etc) all without going to Vegas.

What Vegas offers is an environment where those vices are not only widely available and tolerated, but outright celebrated. In Vegas no one is shaming or judging you, they're either neutral or cheering you on and joining in.

Vegas also doesnt care about you, just your money. To a normal person that would be an off putting and sobering realization that could at least temper their level of involvement. For Ralph its likely liberating as an escape from all the baggage of his past, present, and increasingly bleak future.

On top of that, Vegas is glamorous in the exact way that appeals to a wigger like Ralph. Shallow, opulent, and easy to boast about without having to explain much.

To borrow Gator's line, Ralph likes to wallow in vices, like a Hog wallows in mud, and Vegas is the biggest and best mud puddle in the land.
