You know how his butterbrain rolls. The more syllables he adds to a root word, the higher his IQ. Even though the end result is usually not a word at all, & if it is, it doesn't mean what he wants it to mean by the time hemumbles it out. Every day of his life he has to brainwash himself to believe nothing is his fault. He has tens of thousands of fans who are too afraid to interact with him because of the trolls. Dsp having only one day a year where he and his horse makes breakfast together is very telling and shows two things:
1. they barely interact, which confirms what we know, they are roommates.
2. Dsp doesn't think before he talks(shocker I know)

In his mind he thought that maybe it would gather sympathy and attention in the form of support, but ended up showing how shit his marriage is. Truly hes living his best life and we are just ever so envious of his matoor lifestyle.

In the light that Phil's capture card which he has stood on many times has finally died I wanted to say that it honestly seems like he's avoiding buying a PC. He'd rather buy a "new" outdated capture card to go with that dying PC.

I dunno why but I think Phil is actually scared of PC gaming, maybe it scares those 2 IQ points in his brain that he might have to fiddle with settings and learn shit or simply he doesn't want people bothering him to play some indie games. But I do believe the instances those whales said they'd pay for the PC he turned them down rather than they had financial issues or whatever. Of course this is conjecture but to me its seeming avoidant over anything else. I wanted to add the Rich PC too which he could of took...

But whatever I ether hope he gets a card that doesn't work so he wastes days trying to get a PC, then he fucks it up once he gets it. Win Win.

In the end this game of dodging improving his setup is pointless, even for his gay schizo talk he does for his prestream needs some sort of PC.

Literal WHALES (which Phil DOES NOT have btw) have been asking Phil to play on PC forever and he's always been avoidant. I think he's just lazy and greedy, he wants that $1500 for gin and Jasper. I think you're right in that Phil turned them down. Multiple times in the disaster stream today, he said "The one fan who offered to buy me a PC fell through." He's had multiple whales offer to buy him a PC over the years and its never happened. It's never Phil's fault.

Phil isn't afraid of PC gaming, okay, he used to host LANs in his parents basement.

But honestly, I think it comes down to a simple thing: Phil knows if he had a good PC he wouldn't be able to help himself from buying some $2000 4k monitor, a $300 gaming mouse where he complains about the RGB being distracting and a $200 mechanical keyboard where he'll constantly whine about it being broken because it makes a clicking sound every time he presses a key.

The real reason that he doesn't want to do PC gaming is that he couldn't do it from his gamer armchair. He has this weird fixation on wanting to 'relax'.

Now, of course there's ways for him to hook the PC to the TV and shit but that requires a minimum of effort. Can't have that.

Phil, of course, had already jumped at the chance to not do a gameplay stream and decided to instead conduct a boomer tech support segment so any actual advice aside from "buy a new thing" was ignored and derided. The dude salivates at the idea of spending money on something new and shiny.

Another important reason why he avoids PC games like the plague is simply in the PC games themselves. What are usually the only PC exclusive games left? Old school cRPGs (look how Divinity 2 panned out) and strategy games, be they real-time strategy, turn-based, tactics games, grand strategy... He just doesn't have the INT stat required to pass the stat check to play them.
