The thread where you post your mildly unpopular opinions

After wasting a lot of time hearing arguments from both sides of the coin, I understood that agnosticism is the way and science is not in the position to answer certain questions for now. Call it fence-sitting, but seeing the so called "Rationalists" and "Skeptics" pratice the same dishonesty and smug behavior they attack the believers for doing had a hand in this conclusion.

Property taxes are a necessary evil. If someone dies and there are no local heirs to claim the property selling it at the tax auction prevents the property from sitting vacant for a decade or more. It’s a clean way to “reset” ownership to someone else.

I drink black coffee (drip) everyday in the morning, and I've tried countless different brands.
The ones that are just coffee, all taste practically the same.

Lyricless music is usually better than music with lyrics, as lyrics are often cringeworthy.
I had musician friends that always said they didn't listen to lyrics, the message and language is in the composition. I personally understand that angle but music with lyrics will always be popular and easier access for most people.

If we live in a future where actual comedians get slapped in the face, then how else are we supposed to tell jokes without having to appease to people being sensitive about everything?
If you are a comedian you need to learn to punch people in the face harder than they can so they will regret it if they try that bullshit.

Places built around dependency for transportation are inevitable crime hotspots as people are able to move too fluidly over the land. Kidnapping, drug dealing, murder, all are easier when you can put 50 miles inbetween you and the crime scene in an hour.

Growing up in the 70s and sucking the economy dry in the subsequent 30 years.

May I present to you https://wtfhappenedin1971.com/

Spoiler Alert, it wasn't boomers sucking the economy dry. The government decoupled the US dollar from Gold in 1971, allowing for its continual debasement to this very day.

This came on the heels of the Immigration & Nationality Act of 1965 which opened the immigration floodgates from the 3rd world, combined with women entering the workforce in large numbers thereby significantly increasing the supply of labor and thus reducing its value which leads to lower wages.

Blaming the boomer who worked at the factory to provide for this wife and 2.5 kids is a Pure Reddit™ take, Don't be a Reddit retard.

Queen's music is dogshit & just a mashed together mess of different ideas which in turn got interpreted as good purely because at the time it was something new.
Queen is only still relevant because Freddie Mercury was an aids riddled fagbag that tiktok zoomies are obsessed with.

Since I'm thinking about music anyways:

U2 isn't bad. Actually pretty good. People like to shit on it because Bono is a lunatic.

That's why highways are so popular for serial killers with jobs like long-haul trucker, like Canada's "Highway of Tears" which usually has a few active serial killers generally preying on indigenous women and lot lizards.

Old people today aren't as interesting as back in the day.
Modern old people (boomers) seem to have the ultimate "fuck you, got mine" attitude. Growing up in the 70s and sucking the economy dry in the subsequent 30 years.
It's also just easier to become an old person. Back in the day you couldn't live to be old if you were a lazy piece of shit, but with modern medicine you can hit 75 living off Twinkies and Bud Light.

If AI art can replace you as an artist that says more about you as an artist than about the power of AI art.
Make art beautiful again.
On this:
  • Most anti-AI sentiment online comes from idiots who don't understand how things work.
  • AI art we see still requures a human. Everything you see online that's shared was generated and curated by a person and reflect that individual

I like a snowy winter. I don't care how bad winter roads can get, sometimes it's fun too drive through a snow covered road.
Are you the type of person to go into an empty parking lot with snow and make donuts? I see you.

I prefer spring and fall over summer. I like the natural scenery those seasons bring.
