You're not supposed to release death threats publicly if they're being investigated, mainly because the police need a way of weeding out the weirdos who falsely confess to things. There are plenty of leftist activists who were notable and high-profile enough to be absolutely guaranteed to have gotten a bunch of death threats from seething retards and never released them, and I think it's fair to assume Taylor's gotten at least one or two.
That's a huge fucking 'if'. I do agree that Taylor's gotten a bunch of death threats - just like I'm sure the various self-appointed victims of GamerGate got some. But just like them, I'd also say that Taylor's both exaggerating the number of threats she's received, and also classifying as threats a great number of random messages that aren't threats at all, but are just saying things about her she doesn't like.
And again, just like the GG people, she's undoubtedly exaggerating the level of plausible threat she's getting. Now, rape and death threats aren't nice no matter what, and I'm not even going to whatabout with the number of those threats her troon allies routinely send against anyone they regard as a threat. But there's also a big difference between getting messages on a public platform vs. being sent them to her home, or her family's home, or her private number. Taylor Lorenz is absolutely the type of person to flee her home citing safety concerns, and making a public statement to that effect, like that Twitter guy Yoel Roth.
So, basically, you're right but she's also a known fabricator and adores playing the victim, so I don't believe her reaction even though, factually, she's undoubtedly at least received personal death threats online. It's Taylor Lorenz. She's definitely lying about a lot of it.
Her “I’m not mad!!!1! Look at all these emojis and exclamation points I’m using, how could I be mad?!” is so transparent lol she’s this close to saying, “do you even know who the fuck I am?!?”
I personally loved her saying that it's very important for journalists to have quote-tweeting, with the implicit 'threat' of them all leaving if they don't get it. Firstly, fuck off that it's all journalists you care about, rather than just yourself, Taylor. Secondly, if journalists want a feature for their jobs, then that's a good reason
not to implement it, considering how shit at said jobs all the journalists Taylor would be thinking about are. And thirdly, no one wants her or her ilk around. So if her instance doesn't implement this change, she and all her sycophants will leave? Don't threaten us with a good time, Taylor. In fact, good way to make sure you're not infected with Taylors, if all it takes is never allowing that feature.
She gets
so mad when people ignore her peppy, 'I'm just a girl asking questions!' tone to notice the threats and bullying underneath.
