That said: what I can glean about the late filings and the associated notarization saga suggests it was a comedy of errors. Imagine you're watching NFL and the quarterback for a team chasing the game drops the ball when the play clock runs out because he thinks the game is over. It's really that bad. That said, Ty being Vic's lawyer and going on Nick's stream probably did more good for his reputation than a normal lawyer who doesn't engage in online media who probably would have ultimately lost anyway.

Mid-life crisis is a thoroughly bourgeois phenomenon so an overlooked part of it is that "rich" people like Nick Rekieta - who in fact are not rich at all, just middle class - always overspend on toys that they feel were denied to them earlier in their life. Unhappy with who and what they are in middle age they waste resources (and time) trying to live a fictional version of their imagined youth rather than squaring up honestly to their own mistakes which have led them to their sad state of existence.

A regret-fueled shameful display leading to even greater unhappiness because they scrub what they have for something that doesn't exist, then end up with nothing or close to it.

A normal person looks back on achievements or at the least consistency and a happy family supporting them. Rekieta is a shame and disappointment to his family and a cringe inducing failure away from the internet who lives like a manchild slob. Reinventing himself should take the course of wearing a suit and tie and scoring some points in the legal profession. So Nick's self-expression streams for the past two weeks have gotten about 30K viewers, with a low of 24 and a high of 38. I don't know how many views might trickle in over time but I think that Livestreams are pretty time sensitive, so I imagine that the majority of views come in within the first couple of days.

His most recent trial streams (two weeks ago) got 52 and 71K views, which suggests that there's a significant portion of his viewership who are interested in his legal takes but not his sex life.

Go back in time a couple of months, without specific trials, and he was getting 74K, 57K, 91K (this was a Drex stream 5 months ago, so that's a good comparison to his current views because it's the same subject, but pre-Nick with a bottle up his butt), etc. His Duncan MacLeod stream got 147K and the Null stream right before it got 150K.

I don't want to compare his current views to his trial streams (which easily got over 100K) because the subject matter is completely different, so I looked up Drex streams from before the Depp Trial, and 10 months ago he got 74K for It's Time for a Drexplanation, 47K for Drex Is Back, and 48K for Valentine's Day Reviews: Whiskey, Freedom, Canada, Everything.

Based off my unscientific scanning of views, I'd say that about 75% of his trial audience is also willing to listen to Nick ramble about random stuff (not counting Depp viewers), but unless views go up significantly in the next couple of months, then 50% of his non-trial audience is interested in Drex's debauchery, but not Nick's.

With his current attitude of 'It's totally unreasonable to expect me to stick to a topic that the audience I've built over the life of my channel is interested in,' I'm interested to see if he can be bothered to find a trial to tune into, or if he'll only work up the energy to do trial streams if there's a huge audience that would let him catch the YouTube algorithm. I don't expect to see any future streams of him just reading lawsuit documents, because that just sounds like work.

Divorce. Sometimes followed by rehab. Drug or drinking related health problems can eventually slow them down. Nick already has that really "sweaty" look which suggests problems in those areas. He could end up with STDs as well. Post-divorce they find out that being an old sleazy single guy isn't all that attractive out on the open market. There can also be DUIs or auto accidents.
But Nick is kind of a special case. With the trust fund, lack of money or employment will not limit his crisis like it does for many. He can just keep going. If he takes it to the limit, I guess he slides into becoming another Ethan Ralph.
