How do you even get banned from a containment thread?

When some mods come into this thread after getting a lot of reports, and believe they can make the discussion "civil" by banning people like @IKOL.

There were people banned in the previous thread as well for getting into a lot of slapfights or how cities are spelled.

Also I have heard that many posters in the happenings thread have been threadbanned from the A&N megathread as well.

I've only reported two personal insults/baits after getting a mod warning to not get into slapfights.
Generally I am against reporting and moderation unless it's fedposting, i.e. illegal, at least in this topic.
Why?
Because people here have posted numerous ethnically inflammatory statements and also celebrated war, invasion, bombing of civilians and even war crimes. There were numerous gore posts too, and there's literally no point in this sort of "info" other than to show your hatred towards one side. We can all go to Telegram and see bodies and destroyed cities. It's not special and not informative.
I don't think anything that one can post is worse than celebrating death, so moderating this topic is largely a pointless endeavor, minus posts that could endanger the safety of the site which should be maintained carefully.
But yeah, it's quite comical to have to report people calling you names just because slapfights are allegedly so bad.
But vatniggering and hoholizing is somehow just fine and acceptable. Lunacy.
Now that you mentioned IKOL, I noticed his dumbs and MATIs are no longer in my mentions. Cruel fate huh. Wonder what he did.

You are literally retarded if you expect me to accept that foreign rule from Russia after they killed thousands of Ukrainians is a better choice than "full globohomo".
War and being invaded is always at the pinnacle of evil. Easy choice.
With the exception of Western Ukraine, Ukrainians speak Russian, and are culturally Russian. You aren't Ukrainian so you can't speak for all of them. Sure, some would object, but the vast majority would not. Ceding Lvov and the former Galicia back to Poland has some support, for this reason.

Ukraine is barely 30 years old and doesn't have a national identity, as evidenced by the war in Donbass that has been going on since 2014. It's very disingenuous to claim Ukraine would refuse to be part of Russia, as its clear the breakaway republics want to be, and there is clear evidence Odessa, Kharkov and Kherson would also go along.

Your acceptance of reality is neither necessary or sought after as far as the Ukraine is concerned.

The reality is that Ukraine has chosen war against Russian ambitions, and now we will see who wins. If Russia wanted Ukraine to join, the very last thing that had to be done was a fucking full invasion. But this is always Russia's way, attempting to rape you and then say it's just love and consensual sex.
The audacity to claim two nations at war are the same, JFC

Ukraine was already in a state of war before the invasion. I'm not going to rehash the reasons and conditions prior to the invasion since we've gone over them in this and earlier threads but you are making shit up as you go along, such as ignoring Ukraine was preparing to launch an offensive to regain Crimea and the Minsk accords. If you want to larp as a Ukrainian nationalist reddit is better suited to your needs.

You entered a thread about an ongoing war and are surprised to see gore? I think people like you have been babied by groups like the Taliban whom ran a war of position rather than pitched battles and attrition. I was very surprised at how bloodless the Taliban offensive was, it was probably one of the most effective military campaigns of the past 100 years. I was actively looking for gore posts and the only thing I could find was footage from aerial bombings and strafing by Western or Afghan Republic sources, the Taliban had almost zero footage of combat, everything coming from their side was just mass surrenders with ANA and ANP forces just tossing their rifles into the designated piles before getting a transportation payout from some Taliban commander to get them home via taxi or bus. I see the same stuff from this war, the bulk of the grotesque and dehumanizing video comes from Western backed entity like Ukraine.

Hell, I can't even put into words why I hate those fucking drone grenade drop videos so much. People suffer the same kind of wounds from artillery, mortar, or aerial bombardment, but for some reason these drone videos produce a visceral disgust reaction from me. The rational side of my brain understands that drones are probably the most cost effective form of aerial combat devised and I've been expecting this kind of warfare since I first saw ISIS, or some jihadist group drop a mortar round onto a BMP in Syria which exploded into a fiery mess instantly. I understand this is basically version 2 of drone warfare, the first being those overly expensive Predator and Reaper systems the USA uses, and version 3 being totally autonomous systems that target and attack using some sort of AI system either on the drone itself or networked to some central hub. Even so, the non-rational part of my mind hates these fucking drones and I really hope there is some sort of military convention that bans totally autonomous drones entirely, because it can get worse and almost certainly will.

And here I was, excited that registration was open, so I could get away from this kind of thinking.
Look, if it makes you feel any better, despite my aversion to the government in Kiev, I want you to know that I'm not racist against Ukrainians...
I hate all Slavs, equally. lmao

Also, this seems pretty unhinged when your account is also super new.
Are you some sort of fed? I noticed your account is new just now.
This is not a "hate forum". And it does not facilitate doxing. At most it is tolerated.
You're sus.

It's amazing how shit like F-16 and HIMARS are basically 25th century as far as the rest of the world is concerned. Really make you wonder if they really do have ET locked up in a basement somewhere.
Makes you wonder how well NATO would have stemmed the tide if the Russians made a move Eastward, especially once the technology gap exploded in the 1980s.

Nukes would be launched before any definite conclusions could be made assuming it was NATO troops vs Warsaw Pact troops.

For as much sabre rattling has gone on from this proxy war, both the USA and Russians know the rules that were set out during the Cold War.

The whole point of Russia being pissed about NATO expansion is that it violates the no-touching-rule between the WW2 Allies and Soviet Union. Germany was the buffer state alongside Poland, since both are NATO members now the firewall has shifted east to Ukraine and Belarus, taking over either of these states and admitting them to NATO is such a violation of this unspoken rule that it would produce nuclear fire in the same manner if the Soviet Union decided to run a coup on West Germany and suddenly it decided it wanted to join the Warsaw Pact, France would have a zero tolerance policy for such bullshit and as it would violate the no-touching-rule.

Here is a handy chart for you knuckle draggers who don't understand the primary mechanism for the long peace, if either side moved their alliance structures onto the No-Go zones its fucking over. France being a primary member of the Entente/Allies gives it a primacy that Germany and Poland do not get in the NATO structure, these two nations are fair game battlezone countries; since the fall of the USSR the diagram has Ukraine added in as a slot. As long as NATO does not move from its current position to the No-Go Zone you wont get nukes, this is the third rail and the US deepstate knows it, and is still fucking around regardless of the well known danger.

I don't think people understand how important Donald Trump was in putting this conflict on ice, the war was supposed to occur in 2017 when Hillary went through her coronation, instead some orange moron snuck in who talked a big game about war, but was very dovish. ISIS had to be dealt with but Trump kept the interaction limited to special forces calling in airstrikes and artillery teams well behind the lines. Once ISIS was smacked down he immediately ordered troops removed from Syria which was fucking ignored by the deepstate. Had Hillary gotten into office we likely would have had some sort of showdown with Russia in a direct manner since she was harping on no-fly zones in Syria which meant engaging Russian fighters, and almost certainly some sort of offensive in Ukraine at the same time. The current Ukraine War is the good outcome relative to what would have happened if Trump had lost in 2016.

The US never agreed to such a proposal. It was an informal arrangement at best dictated by the reality of the Red Army squatting in Eastern Europe. America's Europe policy has always been based on Wilson's 14 points, key among which is national self determination and immutable borders.

Nowhere in that seminal US Europe policy will you find "placate Russian Imperial ambitions". The reason NATO expanded is because Russia could not hold its empire together and its break away Republics decided they didn't want to be part of the Russian sphere anymore.

US policy in the early 2000s with respect to NATO expansion and Putins aggravation over this can be boiled down to "it sucks to suck". I can certainly understand why Russia is pushing back now, but this entire thread is solely focused on why Russia needs to get what it wants because "reasons".

That is not how this works. The USA and the EU also have their own strategic interests that must be met. Russia decided to bring the conflict to a head in Ukraine. Which was certainly its prerogative to do, but let's not pretend they are innocent little angels who dindu nuffin here.

Regardless of what you're saying, rest assured I'm impervious to it.
National integrity will always come first.
You should thank me for being an actual person that's honest and has no issue telling the truth about either side, and also for being honest about what I expect and desire. You should be the same, instead of being a propagandist that finds no flaws in their side and spends their time artificially inflating expired memes about poz and vaccines
Are you Ukranian?

Another day, another unsustainable barrage® of russian missiles and drones launched against the 🏳️‍🌈 ukranians
Luckily they were able to destroy 110% of them, too bad no one told Josep Borrell, who is spreading ruZZian propaganda claiming some of them were able to destroy ukranian infrastructure *sigh*

And Russia was supposed to keep out of Ukraine since they wanted independence back after the USSR broke up - intentionally starving a people will encourage them to that sort of thing. So what of it? There was no agreement, and the former bloc countries were mostly just considered unreliable + there was extra careful handling of Russia lest they feel the need to go back to global revolution. As time went on, most former soviet republics wanted to be safe from the fear of Russian invasion.

And Ol' Donnie Trump was instrumental in chilling Russia's thoughts about steppin' when Putin tested him in Syria and got a severe curbing

Anyway, remember by the Russia sides admission, NATO had set up a puppet government, NATO has three Nuclear Powers. Why would Putin want to risk fucking with three Nuclear Powers instead of simply giving into their demands and pulling their support from Ukraine? That's the only sane thing to do, stop funneling his country's budget to a proxy conflict that could spill over and cause WWIII

These people are from /pol they only deal in absolutes there is zero actual critical thinking.
Thinking in 0 and 1 is a classic sign of low intelligence.

If you want to put the situation in /pol/tard terms so that they can understand, you have to say that russia wants to enforce its own version of globohomo where every country is a vassal of russia and you praise the great leader in Moscow. Putin has allied himself with islam multiple times and loves taking in immigrants from central asia, but poltards ignore that and love licking his boot because he denounced faggotry once so he's hecking based and redpilled now.
So ukraine has two choices, bow before globohomo_(US), and have pride parades and its territorial integrity, or bow before globocommu_(Russia) and have victory day parades and subjugation on a salary of 200$ (min wage in russia). The choice is clear to everyone living there.
