Tybros no..... Not like this.....
Does anyone have the God awful picture of that dolt wearing the shirt that says "we lost the case, Nick." The sheer arrogance of Ty makes this L taste very sweet.

Shit, it's gonna take him at least 91 days to get it in and it probably won't be signed.
His petition to the Supreme Court of Texas was on time, signed, and even had very little spelling errors. It shows that he can still make things happen properly. Or maybe I'm just coping.

You and me both. My cope is Ty just has to coherently argue the Public Person doctrine was misapplied and the SCOTUS will grant cert for that alone.

Yes. Some rules were slightly reworded for ease of understanding, others, like Rule 17, were entirely deleted. Most changes were removal of certain requirements. You can see all the changes, and the listed reasons, here
I mainly meant as it applies to the deadline, since if they take effect in 2023 I'm not sure if they'd retroactively change a deadline that already started ticking.

Interesting tidbit. The Supreme Court of Texas denied his motion, not refused it. That means they saw error in the Appellate Courts judgement but decided "that the petition presents no error that requires reversal or that is of such importance to the jurisprudence of the state as to require correction". The Rules state that if the Supreme Court of Texas thinks that the appellate court did nothing wrong they must instead refuse the petition

Rule 56.1 (b)
Anyway, Ty also has 15 days to file a motion of rehearing if he wants to as per Rule 64.1

Vic lost because the trial court rewrote the entirety of contract law, in addition to a shit public figure take. The appellate court was just too unwilling to reverse a clear error.

But, based on the distinction between SCOTX denying the petition vs refusing it, he didn't necessarily lose because of that... even if SCOTX considered that the trial court interpreted the law wrongly it would nevertheless not affect the case being ultimately dismissed. Most likely it was the Tylerphone notary shit that actually killed it.
