Populations are always shaped and bullied into a position or another. Your only luck as some sort of cheesy progressive is that the current batch of cuckservatards is literally retarded and desperately low IQ, and they are unable to project an image or ideology that the masses desire to follow. The right is filled with fat fucks that moan about obesity, with religulous nerds that moan about child mutilation while they cut baby dick foreskins, with homosexuals that moan about anal sex while getting caught at gay parties, and with populist "men of the people" that in private dunk on the poor and mock the working class.
But rest assured, at one point some sort of exceptional event will create a real movement of people that actually believe in what they espouse, are righteous, fit and fulfil the minimal criteria of being normal, and the whole degenerate progressive theater we're forced to witness will go the way of Weimar.
Also you should fucking fight against your hedonistic desires, it is true that they are a natural inclination in most populations, but that is because they are atomized, poor, desperate, horny without ability to find a suitable match, and willing to numb themselves with anything. That's the point of being Human, to overcome your animalistic desires and subdue your body and mind in pursuit of a higher goal that requires self-sacrifice. You're not supposed to give in to your needs&wants and lie down in some bedroom half asleep high on heroin, even if that seems "fun" on the moment, it's ruinous long term and destroys both you and those around you.
You want that unholy, imperfect state of humanity to persist, likely because you're afraid of what the alternative is - rules, rules, rules, and you being shaped into a useful person for society.
