I saw a documentary a long time ago that talked about how humans probably evolved our bodies first, then our brains, and the endurance thing was brought up as it enabled us to eat more regularly and "feed our brains" as it were, and they interviewed modern-day hunter-gatherers in Africa who said they catch animals by simply being able to run longer, due to how humans perspire, which is very efficient, and they just catch up to the gazelle or antelope or whatever the fuck when it's forced to rest.
