I have to wonder how Pantsu can continue to justify the current situation in her head. The only way I can see it wokring is if right now he's slightly less on the booze and drugs and hey he can't just run off to Vegas anymore.

That’s not exactly how it works. It’s more like, his abusiveness is familiar to them, and they don’t trust people NOT to be abusive, so if they were with a non-abusive person it would feel like something was being held back or they weren’t being “real”.
Ralph is the least likely to be capable of learning Spanish, so it’s more likely they’d have a secret, No-Ralph language.

Ralph will never admit why, but I figure chargebacks/ shady debit card usage on and/or leaving disgusting messes in the houses he rented. Ralph sitting in a room for 12 hours a day, smoking cigars and weed non-stop, ripping Burger King farts and sweating profusely would render any room uninhabitable.
