Lol I like Singal. Sometimes I think he doesn't know what he's dealing with, and that amuses me. I think in general he's a reasonable guy, but here he's basically flapping his arms and shouting "you're all crazy! YOU'RE ALL CRAZY!" According to Owens (http://degree180.com/8686-2/) she started receiving abuse and criticism at 1:38 AM and received the 4chan message to her private email address at 10:48 AM. In other words, all these tweets prove is that Quinn posted the content of the email and Owens' name AFTER Owens had already received abuse and an email to her private email address.

7) @TheEhlMann says he is unsure whether it was a mistake or intentional to leave in Owens' name. This suggests that Quinn did not include any content in her tweets to encourage or incite harassment. Otherwise, it would be clear to her followers that it wasn't a mistake.

8) You don't need to look for a conspiracy of whether/when Quinn disclosed Owens' email address, because Owens' assumption that Quinn was the only one who had it is incorrect. As someone who haunts KIA, I agree with the fact Singal does not YET deserve his own thread. He's an idiot on a subject that makes idiots out of lots of people, but generally has the good sense to fuck off Twitter once the heat gets too intense. He comes close to the border of lolcowdom, but no worse than most other normal people do so far.

And, just to add my own points:

1) Some on KIA call him "Signal" (as in, virtue signalling) as a derisive joke.

2)/3) - Truth.

4) Yeah, the Farms is not a place for that bullshit.

5) Concur. Evidence in support of a theory still doesn't qualify as proving it.

6) Still possible Quinn or a crony leaked that info to 4chan or false flagged it, but no proof either way. Otherwise, good points.

7) Again, agree, no smoking gun proof of wrongdoing here.

8) Good point.

9) While I tend to believe KIA may be onto some shred of the truth, they DO NOT have smoking gun proof here, so to assume they figured it all out is tinfoil hat bullshit.

Honestly, I feel bad for him. The whole SJ crowd went halal on him a while back for an article he wrote about a center losing their license because a mob of outrage trans people were pissed that the doctor was trying to help children that was well-researched and well-thought out.

He's a good journalist when he's writing about things with actual facts and does his research. But he has a Godzilla sized case of confirmation bias and will believe all kinds of horseshit SJW allegations with no evidence at all. So he's a mixed bag, but hardly a lolcow. I could see him cowing it up eventually, but he hasn't yet, really.

Oh no don't get me wrong. I think what Owens is doing is a very terrible idea. However, I feel that Owens is very different from other professional victims in some way. Personally I think, from what I observed, unlike Zoe, Harper, Brianna, Anita, etc. I think she legitimately wants to do this for the "good" of what she believes. Does that make what she's doing right? Of course not. But she's pretty doing the wrong things for the right reasons so to speak. She seems dedicated to helping people instead of e-begging for victim dollars. At best I can say what Singal is doing is quite... ironic.

Not really. His outbursts alone kind of look like something that I see plenty of people in the thread do.

If anything I think he's a way better journalist than, say, Theralphretort or anyone at Kotaku. But sometimes he can get quite personal about some of the sjw stuff he believes in.

Being my semi autistic self I have some old screen caps from awhile back. This was a game developer who was in the clique at the time. When the Zoepost hit, he came out on Twitter about being sexually harassed by Quinn at a party. Immediately he became a social pariah in the clique. So much so he eventually ended up shilling for Depression Quest to make amends.

Holy shit, that's stupid. Neither side won anything, Gjoni didn't get to set a precedent against her or anyone else pulling the same bullshit she did, and she can still be nailed to a wall if she does that shit again. Also, she actually LOST the ability to pull the same trick twice because her gag order was explicitly declared unconstitutional, at least under the circumstances it was implemented.

If anything, her blunder can now be referenced by anyone else who has been hit with the same shit and a precedent can still be founded later. All she did was dodge a bullet against herself being used to make that precedent.

What we really want to know is, can he legally speak her name or his personal experiences and knowledge of her? Because that's really what the whole thing was about. Or perhaps this just allowed ZQ time to scrub things clean before the rental overlords came in for a peek?
