I thought the joke was that they can't help themselves to not look at the "violent abuse" because they are obsessed with being victims. No, Rubin is a crossover from the Caroline Farrow thread. He's from Liverpool, most likely, or some part of the north west of England. RR almost always puts a space before ellipses, which he uses a lot, and prefers single quotation marks (note that putting the punctuation outside of quotation marks is standard British English, so not unusual)

Stephanie mostly uses double quotation marks, and rarely uses ellipses.

If I had to guess, I would wager that Rubin Remus is one person. There is lot of overlap with that Matthew Hopkins witch hunter blog, namely Caroline Farrow and kiwi farms.
