It’s the end of another year (so they say… I’ve got my doubts

)! We want to start by saying thank you for sticking by us and our queer dino game. The kind and supportive messages we’ve seen these last few weeks following the release of our teaser trailer have been delightful and lovely. We don’t take our fans for granted, and wanted to show you with that reveal that we know waiting for something you’re excited about is hard! So yeah, thank you for making it easy on us.
As Goodbye Volcano High moves into its next phase of production, we’re saying goodbye to some of our team members. This has got us understandably emotional! We’re happy to have been able to grow the team up with such an amazing and compassionate group of people and thrilled that the game is coming up to its finish line, but we’re also sad at the prospect of returning to the digital office in January without everybody on the Slack. It’s bittersweet saying goodbyes, so we want to dedicate this newsletter to our talented GVH team.
As we reflect on the passing year and think about its highlights, I think everybody at KO_OP would agree that they’re our biweekly sprint reviews! (Hardcore seconded, I
love sprint reviews—Marty). It’s a time when we all get together on a Zoom call and chat/crack jokes/show love/dream up GVH merch/speculate on wacky DLC content, and generally enjoy each others’ company and amazing work! There’s lots of special stuff from the sprint reviews we haven’t shared yet, so why not load up this retrospective with a selection from the different departments?

(I don't hear any complaints!!—Marty)

Marty steppin' in here since Ramo prepared this lovely newsletter! Lemme pull my weight lol: we’ve been noticing requests for our new key art—this time without the logo—so I’m glad to say it’s now available

Show us your new desktops when you get a chance, cuties!!
