What fascinates me here is that May was very vocal about her mother being crazy. These texts paint a very different story of her parents being able to communicate in a healthy manner and who clearly care about their kids. Up until now I had the impression that May was an active and willing participant with all this regarding Ralph but its seemingly less and less the case.

IIRC it was a text between Pantsu and FaiFai where Pantsu said she kept blackmail folders on all her exes which certainly inferred she's got one of Ralph but I'm pretty sure she didn't expressly say she had one on Ralph.

It’s worth noting that Faith and May are also the oldest of their siblings, which may have played into how they were raised. The oldest child is often punished more harshly, are held to a higher standard and any behavioural issues they be having can get overlooked as the parents have their hands full with the younger siblings.
