30 minutes for a sentence hearing? Seems kinda short. Im guessing the letter isnt going to be introduced. It would be real nice to get a Kiwi to visit because a news reporter might not give details on the letter if they do use it.Thanks for posting. That must be the worst weekend ever for Nick. Followed by the worst day of his life. From a neutral point of view, that must be hell for him. Perhaps the last time of him being outside for a long time...
No. Honestly, the saga's over. When we get the sentence, I'm going to put it in big bold letters as the last post in this thread and lock it. Then we'll announce the winner of #SickNickSentence.
This is a rare occurrence, the total and complete conclusion of a lolcow saga. It's not every day that we can conclusively say we know what's going to happen. Nick is going to get murdered in prison, and it'll be a quickly-forgotten footnote added to the locked thread. That's all, folks.
Wasnt @Null gonna write him in prison? The only way to generate new content is to write or visit him while in prison.

I hope AO is allowed to give a victim impact statement.
Can one be written by her and read out without her having to be there?I hope AO is allowed to give a victim impact statement.
Can one be written by her and read out without her having to be there?
Yeah, I meant in a written or recorded statement. I don't want her to have to be near that monster for a second. Her job is done. She testified (quite well, from what we're told) and Nick's going up the river, as it were.I hope she isn't forced to be in court one more minute.
I do hope her mother comes to believe her.
"B-but mental illness don't exist, them demons is why mah son's lickin' his sister's butt and jerkin' it with his poo, he jus' needs'tah go to extra church cuz Jaysus will fixit!!!"That or fucks off.
At this point, the die's been cast already. She believed her gross, shit-covered, toothless hick of a son over her underage daughter. Regardless of what happens in the future, that shit cuts deep.
it's nick logic. time and time again, we see him assume people live in the same world that he does, where everything he thinks should be true is true, and everything he thinks is a lie didn't happen. you're thinking with earth logic. you have to think: "what would nick like to happen?" chances are, if he wants it to happen, he believes it is true. if he wants to jerk it with his poop, and have it prove his logic ("i said she had a shitty butthole so i didn't do it,* therefore, if there is shit they must acquit. well, i guess... i have to do it then."), then he will do it, because that is how his brain works. Why did Nick think that jacking off with shit would prove he didn't molest his sister?
This is something I don't get.
her mom is really messed up. she birthed nick, contributed to his development, beat him (wouldn't be surprised if she did it to AO too), neglected him, and regularly would call him a piece of shit. not only that, but she knew that he had pedophilia and poop desires since he'd regularly talk about them, and she'd scold him for doing so.I do hope her mother comes to believe her. Her dad is the one who got the ball rolling on reporting Nick, but having the support of both her parents would be very conducive to her recovery. If that's not going to happen, I hope her dad takes her far away from her mom, and puts her into intensive outpatient therapy. The age at which her abuse occurred can cause severe and lasting psychological damage. If left to fester, she will find some way to deal with the negative emotions generated by the trauma, and on her own, her outlets won't be healthy ones.
Can she do a recorded statement?Generally, yes. I'm not sure whether the constitutionality of using such written statements at sentencing (as opposed to trial) has been tested for constitutionality, but so far as I know, they're generally allowed to be written.
Is someone attending this sentencing?
I predict either a blank reaction
I don't live in the area any longer, or else I would.
Given how he reacted to the verdict (which was exactly that), I'm predicting the same.
