All countries, empires, and governments before it collapsed. I remember reading somewhere how all empires have an average life span of 250 years and we are nearing that date here. The question isn't it will but rather if the US government could collapse at all?
Maybe it seems impossible but "things seem impossible until they happen and then historians will say it was inevitable". This could be a total collapse or a partial collapse but what will come after it's gone?

There's also a lot of other big countries like China that have been around for a lot longer than 250 years I'd say even if there's a government upheaval the USA is gonna be somewhat ok. Fuck, sweden's government is infamous for actively trying to kill their country and despite the rising violence and shit the place still exists. I don't get why people in current year keep equating America to empire type countries before collapse.

If there is some form of great change though, I hope it results in people being a lot less fake and the situation's better than the shit thats going on right now.

It's more likely the basic standard of living will just slowly get worse and worse over time than there being any kind of big dramatic "collapse" moment.

Maybe future historians looking back will be able to pin-point a moment they will deem the collapse of The U.S. but living through it I think it will be less clear.

If there hasn't been another since, then there's no way there's gonna be another "major" war happening now or later. Everyone talks about America's collapse but never a success. I think it will be China or the European Union. Both too dependent on the United States. Why not some sort of middle eastern economic and military block? Global superpowers tend to be nations no one sees coming.
