Not to PL too much but from my experience in the industry the most pretentious people I have ever witnessed were architecture school graduates who choose to work in the field but not as working architects (working architects as in CAD draftsmen, spec writers, mid level manager overseeing the drawings, etc.). Architecture school naturally selects for liberal-arts type people who are good at bullshitting, though most of them get a reality check once they start working. The real workplace only cares about the placement of ceiling tiles and not some lofty leftist ideal of a theoretical hippie commune that actually costs 30 billion to build.
With that liberal arts blood, it’s not surprising that architecture grads tend to go genderspecial. Also as a student their curriculum also tends to be super ultra leftist because architecture is seen as a tool for social change. This creates a subsect of privileged kids that end up getting really into activism, half of them to vouch for themselves and the other half so riddled with white guilt that they feel like they have to advocate. Communism good.
Phineas doesn’t look like he worked in any architecture office a day in his life. His LinkedIn lists him as a curator and an article writer/editor (funny enough, Deezeen still calls him a he/him). He also lived in a co-op (I’m guessing a warehouse with a bunch of hippies, think the more posh, cleaner, much richer version of a troon polycule house) which is an incredibly age 25 to 35 twee artist/nonworking-architect thing to do. Phineas probably also gets whipped by his wife and likes it.
An architecture critic pretty much just digs into the social history of a building and tells you how racist/sexist its creation was and how well it addresses social issues. Sometimes they suck the dick of historical buildings (but NEVER white supremacist buildings like most European houses and ancient architecture. Soviet is ok tho). It’s nothing about, well, the actual building.
P.s. This article is pretty much how 80% of the architectural review articles sound like.

But we all know they're gonna call her transphobic if she does that; explanations or just a polite "no thanks" are of no substance for trannies who, let's not forget, she's trying to avoid because they have issues dealing with consent.

'CCTV showed there was an element of distress caused to some customers and he was asked to leave the premises.
'The defendant became very aggressive and he had a glass bottle which he threw towards the bandit completely smashing its screen to pieces.'
Handyman Hawthorne pleaded guilty to criminal damage and a public disorder offence in September last year.
Hawthorne was previously jailed for attacking an ex-girlfriend's new partner in 2018 and blamed being given 'too much testosterone' when he transitioned.
Ed Mitchard, defending, told Newport Magistrates, said: 'This was a drunken prank which resulted in him being asked to leave the premises.
'Most people are laughing when it happened but there were some people who took offence.
'The defendant was then pushed by members of staff.'

He was previously sent to prison for a violent assault on his ex-girlfriend's new boyfriend
Mr Mitchard said Hawthorne 'misuses alcohol' and has 'experienced trauma in his life'.
The court was told Hawthorne has worked as a handyman but was currently claiming benefits.
Hawthorne was fined £120 for causing criminal damage and £80 for the public order offence. He was also subject to a 12 month community order for another offence.
He was ordered to pay the pub £400 compensation as well as £85 towards prosecution costs and an £80 victim surcharge.
