Yeah, I don't really see what the unique selling point of his channel is anymore. I guess he's backed off on "My channel is for coomer talk only now and if you don't like it then fuck off" but, based on stream titles, the replacement is "X state changes Y law" reading off the news story that was the top search result on Google? No thanks!
The ChatGPT thing from the previous stream was interesting since that was released in November so Nick over a month late. I've already read commentary from actual subject matter experts, why on earth would I watch Nick talk about it 5 weeks later? Maybe Nick should have took a night off from the gay bar and covered it in early or mid December? I googled it and picked the first news article that comes up" is the extent of his preparation before every show. I unironically prefer watching Ethan Ralph watch Tucker than Nick struggle through a news article, because at least Ralph usually shuts the fuck up and then it's just Tucker.
Nick has said he's not working through actual cases anymore because that takes work. He also presumably will stop making fun of stupid shit on the Internet now because any of the involved parties can just clap back with his own laundry list of stupidity and it's not like Nick could call Jack Murphy a prude.
So I no longer have any reason to watch his show. I might still put trial streams on for background listening again but based on the last two trial streams his debauchery has degenerated to the point where he cannot wake up in the morning so as to actually cover a trial, so those might be over with anyway.
Maybe I’m just super autistic but the chat is the least interesting part of any stream for me. If you need the chat to make your stream entertaining you’re doing it wrong. I don’t think I’ve ever looked at a live stream chat the parts where he reads super chats are so fucking boring and it’s 50/50 whether it’s the same stupid joke or a dumb fucking toast. I don’t like that Josh does it either but at least he does his whole show first so I don’t have to listen to itThis is the real shift in how i look at Nick's content. In the past i'd look for forward to hear his take on a topic and now i know he is going to have the least interesting take on it. I think a big part of that is his abandoning of the stream chats for locals. He doesn't get that the chat was co-host on the show.
It's not the first time he has shown this lapse of judgement. He did that retarded livestream archive channel for the algorithm and it meant the stream was 100% worthless after the fact because the chat was stripped out.
It has been mentioned elsewhere in the thread, but this bears repeating:
I guess at least now, he's dropping the pretense of any sort of show prep or even topic preparation. It's just boomer-coomer, 24-7.
- This fool seldom did much for show prep. He would always be fumbling for documents, seldom were documents highlighted, it was always just bumbling through it all. Now that was part of the charm, you got the whole enchilada. The long-form, "in-depth" analysis was rare on youtube. But at times, it was a lot of vamping or dead air time because he couldn't be fucked with to download a pdf 15 minutes before a show started.
- I don't know what he's doing that eats up all of his time. He teaches maybe one class for the home school co-op, maybe every other "semester". Kayla
has no jobis a stay at home mom. They also have (or had) an in-home nanny for the kids. Granted, kids need driven to events (and God save them from Nick's terrible driving). Aside from the trial days where he would cover a trial for 8+ hours, and do a 3+ hour night stream, he generally has a good 20 hours a day with very little to do.
It may be a generation thing but i grew up on stuff like art bell and call in shows. The chat is the call-in audience. I used to listen to a ton of internet radio in the late 90s and was always in the irc channels talking to the hosts about stuff. Nick was one of the few streamers to actually pay attention to the chat and that was a major appeal to me. Metokur did it to the end and only a handful of streamers do it now. This is part in why Pippa is so popular.Maybe I’m just super autistic but the chat is the least interesting part of any stream for me. The YT unbanning got to his head.He only screwed up because he thought he had more power/influence than he really did. Played his hand too early.
Correct, but he still has to identify the cases to cover without them being in national media and presumably do a little bit of prep, even if it's "Where does this state put case documents online" type of prep. This fool seldom did much for show prep. His schedule is a mess. Nick was visibly fried by the end of the Depp trial, based on posts here he's in the Locals chat well into the morning, and he missed a decent chunk of the Brooks trial even though that should have been his biggest trial stream after Depp and Rittenhouse. This has been bubbling under the surface for a long time though, didn't his wife complain about his schedule on the MLM stream?I don't know what he's doing that eats up all of his time. Interesting so you are actually there for the parasocial aspect of it. I get it, it’s just not something that I value personally. I enjoyed nick’s show and that was about the extent of it for me, but when someone streams as much as he does and interacts with his audience as much as he does it’s probably easy to get sucked in and it probably feels good to hear big streamer man acknowledge you during the show. Not making fun of you just kind of reflecting on itIt may be a generation thing but i grew up on stuff like art bell and call in shows. The chat is the call-in audience. That might explain the reticence to cover legal topics somewhat. Kind of amusing to think he might've been cribbing from the people here to make his show work.Nick found his thread on KF "useful in parts" and "helpful for the show". Unlikely it was the aspects of his thread discussing him. Possible that the parts he found useful had to do with legal discourse taking place on Nick's thread concerning cases he was reviewing.
These posters on KF may have been unknowingly carrying Nick (in some capacity) for quite some time before they became "whiny faggots".
Rekieta going full Jim Sterling is a bold move. Let’s see if it works out for him.Maybe you missed it, but he flat out said he no longer finds enjoyment in his roots, and doesn't want to do long-form legal content anymore.
She did, and that was well before the Rittenhouse coverage. She was just complaining about the late nights during lolsuit and weebwars, not the 12+ hour days of streaming.didn't his wife complain about his schedule on the MLM stream?
or "it used to be useful, but now it's just whiny faggots" is just another one of his incels! prudes! kvetches he pulled out of his ass.Been wondering what Nick meant by this:

It's more that it's a conversation and not a sermon. It reminds me of the pre social media internet. People coming together with similar interests and shitposting freely. I will also say you will never see me get pats from a creator these days. There is a massive difference when are listening to a radio show with 7 people in a channel vs thousands. The most i dip in the actual parasocial stuff is subbing to pippa with my twitch prime sub when i remember it exists.Interesting so you are actually there for the parasocial aspect of it. That is possible. Either way, I'm inclined to think that KF was/is more important to Nick than he cares to admit.or "it used to be useful, but now it's just whiny faggots" is just another one of his incels! prudes! kvetches he pulled out of his ass.
See, I figured he was covertly admitting that he was using the thread for an ego boost. This makes more sense though.Been wondering what Nick meant by this:

@CGoody564 has an account here, BTW.Multiple people including a mod tell her to stfu.
So what you are saying is the real lawsplaining was the friends we made along the way.Been wondering what Nick meant by this:

Can you please spoiler that shit in the future? Fucking gross. How pathetically thirsty do you have to be.Someone sent me these screencaps from the Locals. Apparently there's a dude who goes through all the locals posts from the night before and compiles the lewds then dumps them in an album the next morning (pic 1). Includes an image of a woman who wrote "Rackets was here" on her stomach. Second photo some chick thirst posts a pic and Elissa Clips calls it gross. Multiple people including a mod tell her to stfu.

sorry, edited to add spoiler tagsCan you please spoiler that shit in the future? Fucking gross. How pathetically thirsty do you have to be.
If Nick wants to convince people that he is actually monogamous he really needs to crack down on people posting literal nudes with "Rackets was here" written on their bodies and shut that down fast.Someone sent me these screencaps from the Locals. I see he's adopted the "angrily tell people you don't care" frame of his Internet paternal figure.
