They seized 11 cars. Motivation seems to be future reimbursing of victims and investigation costs, but it's not uncommon that the state simply takes assets that you cannot prove you legitimately own, if you're suspected to be law breaking.
I don't think they'll keep him for 6 months, seems very uncommon. Most likely in this month charges will be finalized and after that we'll see. If he's a flight risk he won't leave jail, and he admitted to having multiple passports and bragging about how he can travel regardless of what authorities want, so yeah, he is a flight risk.
