Maybe it’s my own personal skill issue but I found the chat unusable even before the degeneracy. On my phone I can see like 3 messages at a time because when someone posts an image it takes up way too much space but also crops the image in such a way so you need open it to see all the text of the boomer memes being posted. Then everyone replies to that image saying lol and since the act of replying posts the image again I find locals chat a very unenjoyable experience on mobile.

I find it miserable on desktop as well. Can't even show the original message when looking at the replies, can't see the thread, doesn't update properly if you scroll up at all, there is no popout chat with wider chat messages, when looking at old chats only loads 10 or so at a time.

It's the worst chat "app" I've ever used. But the memes used to be funny and quick photoshops. That's what got Nick hooked, then the wine moms realized they could get attention by paying $5.
