The Last of Us Franchise - Because it's apparently a franchise now. This thread has been double-DMCA’d by Sony Interactive Entertainment.

The HBO TLOU show has a budget of $100 million for its first season alone, (assuming that Drunkmann's is true, that a second or even third season is produced) which is more than each of the first 5 seasons of Game of Thrones:
So something like 12 million per episode huh? Well this probably isn't going to recoup anywhere near what it could given Cuckman's ability to run anything.

While it doesn't have to do say Stranger things level well like that wet fart of a production like Rings of Power needs to with it's retarded 50 mil per, it somehow has near the budget of House of the Dragon's per episode.

Ok so I just saw another trailer and Pedro Pascal looks good as Joel but Ellie is horribly miscast. In the games Ellie is a perfectly cute little girl clearly modeled after a young Ellen Page. The actor in this TV adaption looks like that downie climate goblin, Greta whatshername.

She looks more like Abby and i wonder if that's what Druckmann fapped to after he finished on his Ellen Page obsession.

Yea Kojima is pretentious as hell but he's not a malicious hateful hobgoblin who despises his own audience.
I politely disagree, I don't think Druckman hates his audience. I just think he's a really really shitty writer and the game design choices are so bad.

It makes me laugh playing the beat em up sequences in Uncharted 4, they're so utterly mindless with no strategic depth. I'd much rather they just a cutscene than having to repeatedly punch a goon in the face carrying the same weight as a pillowfight.

Way to undermine a core aspect of Ellie’s immunity.

I guarantee you this is a “we have to make sure you see the actor’s face at all times” thing.
It is, because Pedro Pascal is a narcissistic faggot who desperately forced this clause back when he worked on Mando. I actually will give Cuckman the benefit of the doubt on not being the one to come up with this one.

I really, really hate reposting something from TV Tropes, and I've brought it up already, but given all of his reworking of the original game's details in both the Remaster and now the show to be something more what he apparently wanted since the beginning, alongside everything about Part II, I really think Druckmann has a really bad case of Protection From Editors. To quote:
When the creator is first starting out, the editors have the advantage in the artist-executive relationship. The creator's priority is just getting their stuff out there where people can see it, and in order to make that happen most people will acquiesce on the smaller details. The creator has no real leverage — if he objects too strenuously to executives meddling with his "vision", the executives have the option of shrugging their shoulders and moving on to one of the hundreds of other desperate artists looking for a break.

However, if the creator manages to pull off a hit, the dynamic changes. He eventually becomes marketable on star power alone. Whatever he produces is guaranteed to sell, regardless of quality, thanks to his established fanbase.

Not all creators actually appreciate the help they've received from the editors. As far as they're concerned, these short-sighted editors have been holding them back from true greatness. They might not actively think this, but getting a fanbase and thus lots of positive feedback gives some people a swelled head.

Due to editors not being willing or able to fight back against a brand-name star, the resulting new material from an old creator can end up being lower-quality. Sometimes very much lower, as the author's bad habits, Mary Sues, and Author Appeals come to the fore (sometimes to the horrified shock of the creator's fanbase), where before, such excesses would be quickly and ruthlessly excised. The creators get away with it because it'll sell anyway, and we don't want to risk pissing him off and having him bolt for another company.
Protection From Editors can also foster in some minds a feeling that they are also, by extension, given Protection From Critics as well, which results in great displeasure whenever any criticism is raised — even if that criticism is constructive, well-meant, and particularly if it is valid. Expect snide attacks on anyone who dares criticise them to follow.
Sound familiar?

Meanwhile, the guy who does C-3PO never felt the need to show his human face in-universe and has been doing just fine...

That's part of what ruined Mando for me, besides shitty plot and nostalgia wank. The moment he took off his mask, it was basically the show's downfall since you know that faggot Pascal's face is behind the visor and it ruins the illusion of a badass.

It's such a short-term move too. Had he reserved taking off the mask for the end of Mando, you would generate way more hype and interest from fans for finally seeing what he looks like underneath.

No because Kojima's not some fucking hack writer. His ideas are a little pretentious sure. but he's not a untalented hack like Cuckmann.
Kojima is a good idea man. In terms of writing characters and plots, he's as hacky as they come. But he's got good ideas that just need better writers to flesh them out.

That or something about not wanting the audience to get Nam flashbacks of Covid.

Kojimbo is a hack writer. When he has carte blanche we get MGS 4, 5 and Death Stranding.

That's an insult to Kojumbo. He at least has talent and tries to experiment with the medium. Druck is more like a scuffed Rian Johnson.
Kojima, for all his faults, at least tries to make his games somewhat interesting from both a gameplay and story perspective. His games can be hit or miss, for sure, but they're at least his own unique brand of auteuer weirdness. Druck is just your stereotypical Hollywood Kike with delusions of grandeur, who thinks he is making the next Citizen Kane by exploring ideas like Zombie Apocalypse and Revenge bad!

What has he written that wasn’t hack when he didn’t have people fix his writing? Even the translators think he was trash.

If anything, I think someone on Kiwi Farms said it best regarding the HBO show of this video game:

You’re trying to outdo The Walking Dead by making a show where you have to protect your family from zombies eating you alive, yet you also want to show what happens when you live your life under a quarantined situation with no way to contact your friends and family and see how they’re doing.

Who wants to sit there and watch this for 10-12 episodes and relive the experience of what they had to go through for almost 2 1/2 years?
