Inactive Nick Bate / Nickalaus B. Stoutzenberger - (Thread 3: JUDGEMENT DAY)

Nick acts like an idiot, because he probably learned that he can get away with things or get positive attention (people found him funny and laughed when he said quirky things, probably in high school), when in actuality he may be actually smart. He probably used the saying quirky things as a defence mechanism, because he didn't get that much positive attention at home and by saying quirky things he got the attention he wanted.

I would say, that he most likely does have problems with social cues. Whether it's from autism or some other mental illness, I don't know, as well as some fucked up fetishes that have most likely developed through neglect and and sexual abuse.

Spell check is doing odd things on my phone now, so I apologize if there are any nonsensical words.

I will go out on a limb and say that most people who "pondered nick" and his actions never ended up stalking a girl for years.
I don't recall him being accused of stalking anyone.

Are you really trying to say that shitposting about a guy who repeatedly claimed to be a pedophile somehow puts us on his level?
I never said that it puts people on his level but it does seem that discussion of Nick pulls something ugly out of people to the point where they feel that his punishment is more important than the consistency of our legal system.

I see what you're getting at - but you overstate the case. I followed all three threads on Master Bate and was of course disgusted. But I never started frothing at the mouth or felt tempted to punch a hole in my laptop screen. And when I wasn't reading his thread, I barely gave the man (I use the term loosely) a second thought.
That's you, however we both know there were many people in each thread who said things like "why even have a trial?" and such. I don't know where you come from, but the rule of law should be consistent and there shouldn't be special exceptions made for those who we think may have done things that are especially bad, therefore people calling for the breach of due process in cases where the accused is someone they are familiar with is kinda sick itself because where do we go from there? Essentially it breads a witch hunt mentality and while the crime they are accused of is horrendous we should value our own legal system more than we do seeing someone strung up by their balls even before they are convicted. And that is what is monstrous.

I think most people feel that any punishment a pedo gets, any pedo, is never enough.
I agree, if they did what they are accused of. I am willing to entertain the idea that the court got it right in this instance, however my main problem is with those who cannot respect our 4th amendment.

So you weren't paying very much attention then because that's one of the major things he did, for fucking years, and in fact, his stalkee has even posted on this thread for much of that time.
That wasn't stalking.

In the history of these threads it's not like A-Logging Nick has been completely allowed. Anybody wishing death or rape on him is A-Logging but apart from that I don't see anybody saying that he should be punished with a longer length than he's already set to get.

Honestly Yawning Sneasel, it feels like you're commenting on a subject that you don't have a full understanding of currently. Nick did his crime and deserves to be punished with an extensive jail sentence. Anybody wishing extra punishment on him might be being a bit OTT but that doesn't make them reduced to some sort of barbaric level that makes them comparable to Nick.

The sooner today's news articles are published online and we're aware of Nick's sentence the better in my eyes. This thread goes round in circles without any content.

Well, I could be wrong, but... *slowly exhales* Surely the majority of Kiwis who said "why have a trial?" were just blowing off steam, talking off the top of their heads? And that if it was up to them, they'd say, "fuck it, the SOB's guilty as hell, but let's do it by the book so we don't set a precedent"? I assume the majority of people would, if it came right down to it, make such a decision. The dissenting few I would describe - as kindly as possible - as outrageous spergs. Those are the same people who want to see Dobson "suffer" and CWC get raped and murdered in prison. For infinitely lesser crimes, I admit - but my point stands. To talk in such a way - and be completely serious about it - is simply not the behaviour of a healthy and rational person.

But then, what do I know? Maybe I am surrounded by a modern-day lynch mob. I'm not a mind reader. :stupid:

There's a pretty big difference between the whole "rape and murder" of Chris meme and the people who seem to rejoice in the idea that those who are accused of doing some crimes should just be taken out without their day in court. We even have a lawyer in this thread who is misidentifying the crime of stalking. If looked at on a communal level, many on KF have done more in relation to lolcows than Nick ever did with @Ancani.

To be fair, I don't blame them. Also lol @ "the consistency of our legal system". The US legal system is anything but consistent. Let's be honest, our legal system is kind of a joke.

Keep in mind this is a guy who admitted to diddling his younger sister. He knew what he was doing. He didn't care. Frankly his punishment is more important than "the consistency of our legal system" because he won't be able to diddle or stalk anyone for a very, very long time. And if he happens to suffer any "accidents" in prison, that was the choice he made when he diddled his sister.

That wasn't stalking.

You're splitting hairs. He didn't physically creep outside of her home, but he did stalk her online, kept up with her address, and mailed her letters. That is stalking, too.

You're also ignoring that Nick wasn't convicted only on his "edge lord" conversations, but on the victim coming forward and testifying it happened.

I just got off the phone with the clerk of courts for Lancaster County.

Nick was sentenced to 40 years, the maximum for his crime, and is eligible for parole in 16 1/2 years.

Pop the bubbly.

Ever heard of catharsis?

I don't get what you're trying to achieve here. Your whining about how we're all monsters is just annoying. People came here to celebrate the punishment of a guy who may yet ruin his sister's life with mental health issues. I don't see the point in muddying the waters with moralfaggotry.

Yawning Sneasel, I think you're taking the internet too seriously.

When people comment on him being raped, what they're effectively saying is, "I hope he comes to realise the suffering he has caused to A.O."

When people comment on him being killed, what they're effectively saying is, "I hope he will never be able to hurt anyone else again."

That's just how you say these things on the internet. And the rest is just mocking a terrible person who deserves mockery and scorn. I'm fairly certain that MOST of this forum will agree that in society there's been a recent SJ trend of condemnation-before-trial and before all the facts are out, but that's not the situation here. No-one is being hurt or unfairly demonised. No-one is disrespecting the 4th amendment by ranting on the internet.

Well, I was thinking of the difference between those who seriously say "Chris deserves to be raped and murdered in prison" and those who seriously say "Nick Bate deserves to be raped and murdered in prison". The former are obviously spergs. The latter I can sympathize with. Personally, I'm just not really inclined to think in such a way. (Though if I had to - I vote for death by toothbrush shiv. The irony would be delicious! ) I merely say, do it by the book. To do otherwise, as I've already said, would be setting far too dangerous a precedent.

(You notice my idea of "law" and "justice" end at the prison gates. But that's because I know prison life is, by its very nature, harsh. And I'm not that much of a bleeding heart...)

Edit: @Angelic Nips Thank You! :)
