Ted Wheeler was literally attacked by ANTIFA during a dinner and did nothing. What makes you think they'd do anything once the monster cannot be tamed?
They absolutely will. Anyone who thinks there is not an extensive collection of data on everyone they played catch and release with in 2020 is very deluded.

Ted's one of many they can slap around with impunity. As soon as they go too far any out of line sorts from ANTIFA and co will be rounded up within a matter of days and dropped into a deep hole. While their former comrades cheer the action against dangerous extremists.

These are nice to reflect upon the sentimental views of an earlier time in American history. It is undeniable that the arrogance and moral superiority of the "right side of history" stance has provided necessary kindling for some politicians and their supporters for some time now because it makes them feel as all of their actions no matter how heinous will be justified, it literally is a mindset of "the ends justify the means". As long as they firmly believe in the future where they will be worshipped as heroes they will do anything to achieve it. In a way it is kind of like a secular promise of a glorious afterlife similar to what motivates some religious extremists.

As for free speech as it is seen, quite a few on both sides don't want to defend it curently when it comes to political censorship because in this increasingly polarized age allowing criticism at all is perceived as a sign of weakness, not a sign of good character. Such a centrist view only realistically ends up attracting people of similar ideals. In a time where people are expected to pick a side, fence sitters sadly can often find themselves impaled on their own pickets.

Finally for that last part, the American citizen did not suddenly wake up to see their nation changed all at once. There are individuals with great wealth and power who were complicit in creating the situation the country now finds itself in either by intention or out of ignorant naivete. The ship called America was once mighty and strong but parts of it were gradually removed and replaced by inferior substitutes over time by a series of corrupt captains eager to enrich themselves. This national Ship of Theseus act has hurt many and helped few.

The day Antifa decides to blow up a DNC office or maim a sitting Democratic Senator is the day that, lo and behold, it turns out that wearing black bloc clothing actually doesn't protect you from the law!

>create left wing terrorists
>blame their attacks on right wingers
????
profit

Literally worse than 9/11 day.
Two years later they are still milking the Capitol chimpout for everything it's worth. Babbit's mother being arrested for... walking across the street is going to make TPTB look even more terrible than they already do. It wasn't until 1/6 that the Capitol became a holy temple to the left or even when they remotely cared about political violence in DC, funnily enough not even when their Marxist useful idiots burned down half the country for a summer because a career criminal OD'd on fentanyl while resisting arrest, including veteran memorials in DC being vandalized in the name of worshipping George Floyd.

I don’t know why it took me two years to realize this, but Mexican cartel violence makes those famous/infamous Jan. 6th protests (depending on who you are) look like child’s play.

If you look up videos and photos of the aftermath of violence surrounding Mexican gang cartels, you’d know what I’m talking about.
Dude, Philly after their super bowl win a few years ago looked rougher than the Capitol on January 6th.

Can't believe 14 of them cucked out to Mccarthy, any chance of the remaining 6 holding out till next week
Hey man. The guy they believe who is a swamp monster that is promising retribution against them for dare defying his rightful ascendance promised them seats on some gay ass committee. He's totally going to honor his word

It's why i can never take Jan 6 seriously when the 2020 riots lasted for several months as opposed to 2 hours. Not to mentiom the defendants are still being held without trial. Babbit's mother being arrested is gonna be a political shit show for the left.

That woman is going to die in prison conditions that will make Abu Ghraib look like Club Fed.

I hope so. I'm just starting to enjoy this deep discomfort I sense from the uniparty dickweeds called the GOP.

SQUIRM SOMEMORE, MCCARTHY.
At a minimum, you can take pleasure in knowing that this election of the Speaker is now in the top 5 of how many ballots it took to vote for a Speaker. Shame we won't be able to go higher, but at least it's something; hopefully we can expect a lot of gridlock when McCarthy ineviably renegs on his pinky promises to the Freedom Caucus and the House won't be able to pass at least some of the more harmful stuff. Still, this whole thing was worth it to see the establishment shills freak out over all this, it was fucking funny to see them all lose their shit over McConnel's puppet not getting in immediately.

Seems like the RINOs are going to vote against the rules package (which is passed after speaker is selected), which means they'll join democrats to vote against all the things the Freedom Caucus wanted. If they're not seeing this and saying deal's off it was all theatrics. And if McCarthy can't keep the Republicans in line to vote on this he becomes worthless and you'll see more and more RINOs voting with democrats to be liked, just like in the senate, meaning we're back to socialism driving the speed limit. On the plus side it means the GOPe is dead.

Don't count their your chicks until they've hatched. I'll believe it when I see it and I'm not really hopeful. Earlier this week one of my friends (who identifies as lolbertarian so is retarded) brought up the speaker issue in our friend group's monthly get together, he got hammered by both sides both dem and GOP for not saying the 20 were literal fascists lol.
On the other hand it's kinda sad how politicized my friend group's become. I live in a deep red area and both sides keep pressuring to join their party.
These dumbasses are so entrenched into the two party system ... When I responded I affiliate with the constitution, life, liberty and pursuit of happiness for a voter affiliation they just stared at me.

It's like people lost understanding of nuance. Maybe I just hang out in the wrong crowd? Ex: Abortion isn't just a ban everything or allow all solution, there's multiple "solutions" to it.

I feel that's by design. Make the greys of reality black or white and the ones making the calls can herd people into the 'right' camp.
Propaganda and polarization is one heck of a combo. Propaganda manufactures a reality for people to believe in filled with "blacks" and "whites" or pre-approved "goods" and "bads" and polarization makes tribalism go into overdrive which makes things awkward for the outliers who aren't going with any major group.

Not to seem like a Copium merchant, but allow me to point out the silver lining that is presented by this turn of events without sounding like a Q-Tard. I don't just mean the incredible delicious satisfaction of seeing the politician classes seethe and mald, as fun as those were. Nor the hilarious memes, as good as they were. I don't even consider the week-long delay of more aid to Ukraine all that great.

What has come out of this already is demonstrable proof that Trump is no longer the single little leak in the dam, the sole personality in a cult effort, the keystone to a movement. Call it Maga, America First, call it Fuck the Uniparty Movement, whatever 'it' is, it has become bigger than Trump and will continue to grow in power and visibility. It was just one man being subverted at every turn, but now at least a full hand are committed and have held back the Uniparty for longer than the Spartans held Thermopylae.

This is, ultimately absolutely fatal to the Uniparty, because they leverage an illusion of absolute strength and control. By convincing you that nothing can ever be done, they make you surrender before you fight, they tilt the scales to more easily subvert officials, they draw credit on the expectation that they will hold power - all of it based on the assumption that they will win in the end. Without the momentum of this bravado they have little real competency or power - a fact they desperately try to cover up and conceal. When Trump managed to defeat Hillary she collapsed because so much was drawn out on the assumption it would be paid back after she won, and without that momentum, that false confidence, she had nothing to trade on. That is one of the many reasons so much effort was spent on subverting Trump, to try and regain that perfect illusion of invincibility To re-assert their preferred version of reality, where they are untouchable, to discourage any one else from trying to thwart their plans.

They then tried to strangle the new movement Trump sparked in the midterms, with all the various shenanigans with primaries and voting fraud, to discourage and demoralize everyone. Every spark had to smothered and every ember wetted so that nothing could threaten the shoddily constructed facade of the Uniparty's so-called control and invincibility. They failed in their aims - not entirely, but enough that a handful of people got through that refused to play ball and cause a massive embarrassing spectacle that did more damage to the Uniparty than you might think. Remember, McCarthy already moved into the Speaker's office expecting instant success and to project a dominant alpha attitude only to get cucked by a minivan's worth of people. When only 5 shitposting part-time Chads can do that, it starts to give other people ideas like about how maybe the Uniparty isn't invincible, about how maybe their 'power' is a massive cope, and that doing something is better than just surrendering.

Orange Man lit the spark, and they couldn't put it out. Things may get worse, but they can also get better.
Never forget this, brothers:
