Thankfully, I've never gotten too far down the rabbit hole that are the Sick Nick threads, but even with the few details I glimpsed, I am glad the wheels of justice caught this disgusting asshole and ground him up.
He will never hurt anyone ever again and he's got a nice long stay to think about what he did.
Who knows? Maybe he'll one day even understand just how fucked up the shit was that he did. But even if that's not the case, for the next 2 decades, he's gonna breath prison-bar filtered air and bask in the fluorescent light of his cell.

Honestly even if he is put in an institution, serves his sentence in solitary confinement or even gets out in 8 or so years for "good behaviour" (aka overcrowded prison system) the important point is he is never EVER going to be anywhere near AO or any other minor ever again. He will never be able to repeat his actions and AO will never have to live in fear of this sick bastard from now on. His sentence is a bonus, the fact that he's been legally outed to the world so they can defend their children against him is the real victory.

Pennsylvania amazingly doesn't have civil commitment for adult sex offenders.

Odds are good, though, that it will by the time Sick Nick is eligible for parole and such laws are generally retroactive.
