You can't believe it because they don't. The retard that made this graphic forgot his units. The red bars for each car appear to be in grams of CO2 emitted per km traveled and from a quick search they appear accurate (516 g/km for the Chiron).
Now, the big fuck-up is that comparison of "typical passenger vehicle in US" vs "supercars". Judging by the wording, the author of the image found this EPA document

and just saw the numbers in range of 8-10 and run with them. Despite them being in grams of CO2 emitted per gallon of fuel burned. I couldn't find the value for US in g/km (or g/mi) but the average CO2 emission for cars in EU is 116 g/km. Not that far off from the 150 claimed for "supercars".

In short, fancy expensive cars with huge engines emit more CO2, but only up to 5x (usually less than 2x) as much as the average eco-shitbox with a tiny four banger
