It's true, he practically encouraged it. Some people say "I don't control what my fans do", and it's usually bullshit but reasonable, but I dunno if Dan can pretend that was the case at that point

I guess it was a long time ago i heard about the apology, that makes it much worse, anyone got a clip or something of the excuse? Need to know if they adressed the elephant in the room, that it was Arin "Sonic's biggest fan" Hanson who didn't realise it was randomized.

I can't stand those idiots playing Sonic.

The 06 Silver stages turned me off from GG entirely. Watching them go to the edge of a platform with a bunch of shit in the middle of it, dick around for five minutes while jumping off the edge several times and complaining "wHeRe dO i gO" was more frustrating than funny.

See that was fine because 06 is a universally bad game, when you then treat Sonic Adventure or Sonic 3 the same way even if you dont like those games they were well received at the time and thus youre kind of leading your audience to think stupid things by misrepresenting the experience of playing them. most people who play 06 will have the experience the grumps had, most people who play Adventure wont clip thru the loopdeloop. not that it matters, i dont like the first adventure personally, as long as youre funny while doing it. whereas my problem with arin is hes completely toothless

The guy had three different eras of his persona: the first was this shock jock hilarious edgelord pre-game grumps, then it was this grumpy game design expert during the jon era and sequelitis, then it was the chill uwu softboi in the early dan years. now his modern persona is a weird chimera of these things where he pretends to be a game design expert, a chill let's player and a shock jock but he cant go all the way with any of those personas due to changing times, laziness/incompetence, his own personality or because he feels a need to force one of the other personas in order to pander to every potential audience for game grumps at once. so now no ones happy

As boring as slowbeef is most of the time, His and Diabetus' LP was more entertaining in every way IMO.

It helps that they're not doing a bit, it's just two guys playing a video game. That's what really killed Game Grumps for me in the end. Every Sonic game playthrough is a bit, every joke is the same. Now take that and spread it across literally everything they do. I get the improv classes were for their live shows, but why not apply it to your main work?

And the funny thing is OneyPlays, much like Vinesauce, is more charismatic at their playthroughs than an aging Game Grumps (or at least what’s left and scattered of them). I’m willing to bet you there would be former Game Grumps be delighted if we at Kiwi Farms were mocking the guys on OP than GG, and then claim that we’re just haters that know no better.

i always thought the classes were a waste of money considering all arin can improv is saying dick or shit

im convinced improv classes are a scam since you cant teach people to be witty or think on the spot

I'm by no means trying to claim to be an expert on improv or anything, but whenever they mentioned their classes, it seemed like the most basic take on improv. Like, it mostly amounted to some generic improv warmup exercises a group spends a few minutes doing before a show to loosen up. And given where they live, I don't think it's a stretch to say there's a lot of scam teachers out there running comedy/improv/acting etc. classes. At the very least, if it wasn't a total scam, I think they're playing up the "classes" angle and it was at best more of like, a seminar. But with how basic it apparently was, I'd say they still got ripped off if it was anything but free.

Absolutely a scam. If you're teaching an improv class, chances are, you're shit at improv. If you were any good you'd by making money on shows like SNL or whatever instead of teaching some dumb class.
