This is the interior of SCI Camp Hill, the place where Nick is going.

What do you guys think?
Looks absolutely soul crushing.

Good.

Well, might as well chime in. Obviously super news! I thought 30 might be max, but nice to see he got the whole book thrown at him.

As @AnOminous mentioned, there is a potential appeal. Hey, does he have an automatic right to appeal, or does he need to seek leave to do so? Let's just assume he does appeal. In the assumption no error of law was made, then they will be seeking a reduction of the sentence. And if so, then most likely they are going to play the mentally challenged card and argue he would not survive in a prison and should be put in a forensic institution. That's how I see it heading perhaps. With luck, Nick will be dead by time appeal is heard anyway, which leads me to...

I have seen many people speculate about Nick getting out at 40 or 60 or whatever. Knowing what we know, I just cannot see how he can survive in prison for long, unless he is segregated the entire time. And that in itself, given Nick's state of mind, may be worse for him than getting shanked. I will be very surprised if Nick is still alive at 30. Just due to what he is, his mental state etc. I think it would be hard enough for anyone to handle prison for 16 years. But take a pedo-rapist, and a mentally challenged person to boot who has social issues and other phobias, and throw them in the big house? All I can say is I will be surprised if he comes out of this at all.

But, I take comfort in knowing that even if Nick does get out, I will be retired or gone anyway!

I hope we do hear further about Nick from time to time in the news. Preferably, it will be just once though. His obituary.

Too nice.
It won't be once Nick stinks up the place. :julay::julay::julay:

I just want to be able to read the transcripts from the trial.
Due to the age of the victim and the nature of the crime, I doubt they'll ever be available for public viewing. Perhaps that arrangement benefits our collective sanity as well as AO's privacy.

I'm glad the sick fuck will rot in jail and hopefully he never gets out. It is just such a shame his mother can't be brought up on some sort of charges.

Same, but this sentence in of itself is a huge victory on the side of justice as it is.

Good to see the sick fuck's locked up. If he doesn't attempt suicide within a couple years, I'll be very surprised.

At least one appeal as of right, and from the fact they had transcripts made and the prosecution and defense came to an agreement on the record on appeal, it's pretty clear the defense intends to appeal.

Nick's life is officially over and I'm happier than I expected to be.

AO was incredibly brave when she needed to be, even at the toughest moments. She still has a difficult future ahead of her but I hope her father's support will make things easier.
