To be fair, either McCarthy or Jeffries will ballwash Zelenskyyyy but yeah, we need to have the ability to give money to Ukraine and Israel at any moment. The power comes from showing the Uniparty and RINO's that they can go full boat anchor and stop any legislation they see fit. Its nor surprising they got concessions, this was bad enough to have 4 days of sperging, do you want this on every bill? Probably not.

Nothing that the House passes that the Dem's don't want will make it through the Senate or survive the Presidential veto. Those 20 votes don't matter for shit past this Speaker thing.

You will never be satisfied with anything, just saying. McCarthy was always going to end up being Speaker, but this way a small coalition was able to twist the GOP's arm a bit which is unheard of in anyone's current lifetime like this.

It's more that we're all powerless worms unable to individually affect this bullshit at the national level, and having threads where people sperg nonstop about how everything is fucked doesn't make following politics here fun, in the slightest.
I realize my vote means jack shit, that my best alternative party is a compromised trash fire, but constantly harping on that fact just makes me want to stop following the topic entirely. I spent the last 3 weeks barely active in KF Politics threads because I knew it was just going to be the same endless whining from a few thread regulars.
That's why people bitch about doomers. You remove the only part of following WWE for degree holders that's actually fun. If we're just going to bitch about how powerless we all are, I'd rather unplug and pay attention to aspects of my life where I can make a difference.
