People forget that when people were starving in the past they were usually living in dire conditions and still very physically active in order to survive. Think about Auschwitz, those people were starving but had to work their ass off at demanding labor dusk till dawn, lived in absolute filth, had no medical care, what food they did have was vile and had incredibly inadequate clothing and shelter. When people are starving in Africa they are still exerting themselves all day in hopes of getting food and are exposed to all manner of heat, insects, injury, etc… starvation is usually just one component of everything going to hell and survival on the brink.

Eugenia just lays around in comfortable luxury and her biggest physical exertion is her moving her make up tub.

It's such a sign of privilege to be able to be an Anna chan. Think about it. Only first world fags who've never gone hungry a day in their life have the luxury of starving themselves "because they want to" or purging the precious resource of calories and even worse refusing the most essential and life sustaining substance on the planet... Clean water.

Only a person of true privilege would have such a disease of selfish aesthetics whereas majority who have looked like them for all of human history as been against their own will.

I think it's because most of these people are sheltered from what starvation means. I know it's an illness, but there is quite a bit of kawaii, childlike, and animu stuff that these people add in to their ana-spoop persona, with no real world starvation bodily stuff allowed to intrude. It's why you don't see starving third worlder's or concentration camp victims' bodies and sores, baldness, potbellies, diarrhea, or listlessness held up as glamorous thinsparation goals, it's always seems to be a fantasy of thinness that helps to drive the illness.
